My interpretation of Jax is that, if given a chance, enough time, and enough support, she would transition to female and be much happier because of it.

However, Jax is currently (or at least was) so deep in the closet and denial that it wraps back around to him still being "totally cis."

I don't think Jax is ready for that type of self-reflection. Hell, he tried a while ago, and it went horribly. I can see why he would just want to bury it after that.

Transition would have to be way farther down on Jax's road map because she still has to figure it the fuck out.
