What do you think VLD would’ve looked like if Shiro hadn’t prematurely returned and everyone got more steady character development? (with some Kallura bias, pls 😘)

Unpopular opinion here, but I’d really prefer if the creators followed their original plan and Shiro hadn’t prematurely returned. Don’t get me wrong, I like Shiro. What I don’t like is inconsistent development and story lines that make little sense.

In season two is was heavily hinted that Shiro would eventually go away and that Keith would have to take the lead. But when that happened on the next season it only lasted for a couple of episodes and that prevented not only Keith but the rest of the team to further develop. I really don’t know how they will handle the fact that we have two black paladins at the moment (because Keith will eventually return from BoM). Personally, I’d prefer to see the journey of an insecure teen growing to a good leader instead of being stuck with the already perfect leader. But it’s not my call.

Anyway, to answer your question I believe that If Shiro hadn’t prematurely returned, the story line would be better and it would benefit the characters’ development,too. Especially when it comes to Keith and Lance who would grow as the leader and the second in lead respectively.

When it comes to Kallura, I’m not sure how Shiro’s absence would change their relationship. It’s not like Shiro is preventing them from interacting. But I guess that if Shiro wasn’t around longer, Keith would have to rely more to the rest of the paladins and that includes Allura,too. That could lead to more scenes between them.

In any case, I’m not worried about the relationship between Keith and Allura. The show creators are fans of the old voltron where Kallura was a essential part of it. That’s why I believe that those two will eventually get even more moments and that they will probably become canon,too. The new voltron might have change lot of things but some key aspects remain the same. And I believe that this will be the case for Kallura. When it comes to shipping, I don’t think that the creators will bend their will over the popular demand (like they did in terms of story line with Shiro). Otherwise they wouldn’t sunk the most popular Keith pairing which is also the most popular voltron pairing. So yes, you can probably expect more Kallura in the upcoming seasons!

Big-name antis are saying that you shouldn’t threaten the crew as if they aren’t doing it themselves.

Antis trivialise pedophiIia, harass the cast and writing staff, attempted (and are still attempting) to get Josh Keaton and Bex-TK fired, recorded an interview of Jeremy Shada without his knowledge, attack fans at cons and create Instagram accounts to make fun of fanart - the list goes on - and on top of all that have the audacity to say it’s for a good cause.

It’s not “some antis”, it is ALL ANTIS. Everyone that likes, reblogs and follows these people is directly encouraging their behaviour, and when the problem becomes too big to ignore yet again, they refuse to take responsibility and blame it on you.

We’ve been over this so many times before. You all know damn well that their damage control is performative.

It’s their attempt at ostensibly disconnecting from the anti community so their vile “Lauren’s basement” jokes and “Bex is gonna catch these hands” posts can’t be held against them. They only care about saving their image, and their followers have been falling for it again and again and again.

There is a difference between not liking a ship and being an anti, which has been explained to you countless times. The fact that you’re still calling yourself one says it all.

We’re not going to change Big-name antis’ stance or even make them think about the consequences of their actions, because they’ve ingrained this purity crusade mindset into their brains. They’re leading witch hunts against fans online, the Voltron staff, voice actors, Studio Mir, artists and writers. There is absolutely no point in trying to reason with these people anymore. So instead I want every self-proclaimed “nice” anti to take a good, hard look at the crowd you choose to associate yourself with.

This is your community.
