phm is decently popular in japan and i mostly see this when i check twitter and see accounts posting pictures of handmade rocky plushies that are so fucking round looking it brings a tear to my eye
he keeps me sane
btw, idk if this will be seen by any of the countless people who already have seen and reblogged this post, but heres the original guide posted on how to make the chibi-rocky! the OP also has a separate guide for a more accurate rocky, though obviously less simple of a guide than the little thingy shown off
(im surprised this post gained any attention, haha, if i had known i would have just shared the guides, the more handmade pebbles in the world the better)

Magpie blanket shawl WIP update!
Had to get more blocking squares for this thing; haven't made anything this big in a long time (6 ft wingspan)! Just a few more feathers left on the wings, then it's on to the tail.
Been slow going since the last post, what with Art Fight and all, but progress is happening!
Would anyone be interested in a polished pattern for this thing? Maybe one that could be tweaked for different birds? Or a TotK Zonai wing version?
Design sketch for reference:
Happy fiber art-ing!
Fledglings in the Village braiding Revali's hair.
Usually he does it himself, even though feathercare is a communal Rito thing, he's always just been a bit of a lone wolf.
However, the fledglings respect him so much, they're so in awe of him. So when they ask for the honour of braiding his hair, he allows it.
They braid flowers and shiny ribbons into each braid with their little wingtips. He keeps those braids with their decorations in until the flowers dry out and the braids start to tangle.
He pretends it's a hassel whenever the children ask. However, he never ever says no, even when he's very busy, he always stops what he's doing to sit calmly for hours on the flight landing while the children carefully and lovingly brush and braid his plumes and babble about their lessons and hopes and fears and dreams.
It'll probably take me a little while to get all the pages uploaded in order, but I've set up Patreon as a place to read all of TPH in order, for free.
Again, you DO NOT have to pay to read. Sort by oldest first and public posts only and you'll be able to read in order. I'll be posting both chinese and english pages, alternating every 10 pages.
there are also some extra access tiers if you would like to support me (and encourage me to draw more consistently). lowest tier includes extra notes and previews, middle tier gets to have their characters cameo in the background (no lines), and top tier gets access to all my assets. i'll slowly work on adding stuff, and i'll hurry on up if people actually buy into the tiers.

As a reminder, if you're At Your Desk a lot (for 6+ hour sessions), you need to get an ergonomic chair.
But Artsekey, what is an ergonomic chair?
They're chairs designed and tested to support the user during prolonged use. This means they minimize strain on certain areas of the body and can significantly minimize the risk of injury.
Oh, so like a gamer chair?
A lot of "gamer" brand chairs aren't actually ergonomic-- buyer beware. They look cool, but they charge a premium and don't do anything for your spine.
I just looked it up, and most of them are over $1000. No thanks!
I know, I know. They're expensive. But:
'm so serious when I say that if you are a professional working at your computer for long hours, this is not optional. It's a matter of your health and wellbeing. Source: my physical therapist after I tore a muscle in my back (agonizing!!! put me ON THE FLOOR!!!!) because I sat in the wrong chair too long.
2. They don't have to be that expensive!
If you have a Best Buy or (even better) an Office Depot in your area, pop in. They have a ton of ergonomic chairs on the floor and each has a tag that lists it's rating. I got my dinky chair for (that's rated for 12 hours of use!!!) for about $170, which would be about $220 today. That is a steal for a chair that has this rating.
You can also keep an eye out for them at garage sales + hang around universities during move-out.
If they don't have a tag, what should I look for?
Five points of articulation:
elbow height
chair height
back depth
lumbar support
backrest angle.
Mesh backing or high-quality cushion.
To be fair, my chair (that I love) does not have many of those points of articulation (which is probably why it was cheaper). However, I had access to the rating report and it has proved to be a great purchase.
You seem weirdly passionate about this...?
I don't want anyone else to wind up writing in agony on the floor because they were shrimpin'.
