and it was in that moment of nakedness as we watched the moon rest beneath the horizon and the sun rise above the darkness. we had not gone to sleep yet.

and it was in that moment i realised that i was resisting true love. i was fighting an internal battle by myself when i was truly not alone.

you can heal. you can rest below the darkness. you can rise above the abuse. you can do this while falling in love. it's okay to need him to heal you.

i got called brave today. i got positively reinforced that i did something worthy today. i deserve that. i am so happy to be in a safe space. seeing my past in front of my eyes today showed me how i miss it but i also am thankful to be set free from it. i was brave today when i stood proud in my dignity knowing that i did not do anything to hurt anyone. i am the victim in a vicious game and once a victim is brave there is no tell what they will do.

i often find myself lost in the abyss that is my mind. confused as to how he manages to enter my dreams in different forms. i'm not seeing him, but i'm feeling him. i feel fear. i feel hatred. i have an unfathomable desire to me set free from him. but i don't know how. it's like every time a catch a break for myself he slitheres back into my subconscious and haunts it bringing back dark days of painful insecurities. we absolutely brought out the worst in each other. i know it's him behind all this, and i want to be let go. i'm going to fight back this time.

and that reminds me... i did not replace him, but rather i found myself again and along the way i stumbled upon a man that reached out his hand and said i've got you now. who made me feel safe again. i found a safe space inside of myself and now i can share that happiness within myself with him. and i pity those who have wronged me because they may never taste the honey rich lips of a man who speaks only of sweet melodies and shows me the world that i can do anything. and by allowing him to create himself i am growing on my own. i am sorry but i truly do pity you. because our quiet roaring happiness is one that cannot be tainted by you. it is mine and I am keeping it.

he looked so fake. it wasn't him. the videos showed it more than the photos, but i knew that person once. i knew that person over the past quarter of my life and i saw that he was quite literally faking it. and you know how that made me feel? not hopeful, not sad, not angry, but rather pitiful. i feel bad for him not finding true love in her eyes. i feel bad for not finding someone that you want to look at when you make love. someone that you think about running far far away with across the mountains and into the sunset you drive. someone you could fly into space with kiss the earth goodbye and never look down ever again. he does not see that in her because i still know him better than anyone else. and i can see it in his eyes through that camera that he is faking it.

and then she started to pay attention to herself more... the way that she vigorously brushed her teeth in the morning as if she's trying to scrub away the words that she said, the way that her coffee breath overwhelmed her senses and brought a comfort in knowing that she had the energy that day to go get one, the way that her foundation covered the dark bags under her tired eyes and the paste cooled her burning skin...
