captain america ain’t gettin’ any.
not a radio free wasteland [ listen ]
When you’re a wanderer, a tune helps you not dwell on the ever present fact that you live during the post-apocalyptic era.
“What the damage report?”
“Can I finish my run first?”

“Last chance to put the gun down.” Steve said, jaw tightening at the situation. He didn’t want to fight this woman. He didn’t know anything about her so her only crime in his eyes was wanting to survive this world. He couldn’t blame her for that. That was everyone’s motivation lately. It was rare to see kindness in this world and he knew most who didn’t give it had rarely received it in their lives. “I’m quite a conversationalist. You’ll be upset you missed out.” His tone was sarcastic but jokingly so. Trying to lighten the mood from the potentially murderous one it had started as.Â
He wasn’t really in the position to be negotiating this with her, what with the fact that she had a gun and all he had was an old car door. Not that car doors couldn’t be deadly in the right hands, but Furiosa was much more confident in her aim than she was with his ability to dodge bullets right now. She’d get him sooner or later.
“No more talking,” she said. And with that, she fired a shot at him right at him. She was going to get these supplies and he wasn’t going to stop her.
As the sound of the first new round of bullets hitting his car door shield, Steve raced forward to plow into her, shield first. If he couldn’t get the initial attack, he would surprise her with his speed and strength when it came to throwing around that car door.
If he could, Steve would destroy Ultron only with his look
“You’re one to talk.” Steve smirked at Clint. “I could pick you up something at the store if you want. They have a Walgreens right down the road.”
“It’s just a dumb cold, Steve. I’m fine.” He shook his head, huddeling deeper into the corner, letting his head flop back against the arm of the couch.
“Alright.” He smirked, hands up in surrender. “Colds can be nasty. I’ve only been immune a year. I remember. Though, I’m sure colds are a lot less dire now-a-days.”Â

Ma’am. Ha. This guy was a joker.
“No, I don’t,” she answered. “You don’t look in any condition to fight me, anyway, so I’ll be taking both the parts and the Guzzaline. You won’t be needing them for long.”
She knew Toast and Capable would have wanted her to be kind to this helpless man out here alone in the Wastes, but she was neither Toast nor Capable. Kindness had been beaten out of her long ago when Immortan Joe had taken her from her family as a child. Now it was all about survival, and she would do that by any means necessary. Being kind to this man whom she knew nothing about was a risk she wasn’t willing to gamble on.
She took a step toward his bike, never once lowering her gun.

Oh Tony. So subtle.
"You really should be in bed, you know."
“Says the guy who’ll walk around with broken everything.” Clint snorted, coughing into his elbow.
“You’re one to talk.” Steve smirked at Clint. “I could pick you up something at the store if you want. They have a Walgreens right down the road.”

She’d almost just made it to the motorcycle when she heard the noise. So it had been a trap after all.
She snapped her eyes toward the source and saw the man just as he spoke. She had no idea what he would do to her, but she wasn’t giving him a chance. Quick as lightning, she snapped her gun off and fired three rounds toward him. She was not going to die in an ambush like this. She was not.
Steve retreated further behind the car door shield, curling up further to completely protect his entire body as he winced and waited for the rounds to stop.Â
“You want the guzzaline, right?” He shouted against the sound of bullets on metal. “Or parts? I won’t let you take em. I don’t want to fight you but I will. This bike is all I got.” He paused a moment, panting in the silence that came after those three shots. “You want to put your gun down, ma’am? Talk this out?”
