Broken Angel

Shepard was gone, and with her death the war with the Reapers had ended. Not in victory, but in a quiet retreat. The galaxy seemed almost eager to forget they had ever existed. An inconvenient truth. An impossible story, too monstrous for most to accept.

When he realized he could no longer fight her battle, he set out to find his own.

Omega welcomed him with the stench of rot and desperation. There was plenty of filth there to keep his hands busy and his thoughts occupied. It didn’t bring the galaxy any closer to salvation, but it gave him something else. A purpose. A reason to rise in the morning.

More than once he caught himself wishing he’d met his end beside her. Shoulder to shoulder, the way it should have been.

But she hadn’t waited for him.

So he decided that if he couldn’t die with her, he would die like her—fighting to his last breath for a cause he believed in.

Even in that, she had surpassed him.

Even in death, she remained beyond his reach.

Shepard had died saving others—her friends, her crew.

And who had he saved?

Silence was his only answer.

In the end, he had failed everyone who had ever believed in him...

(We all have our battles. Mine just happen to be shadows and coloring. I’ll share the process video once I’m satisfied with the result 😭)

I only found Anya Nami over a month ago and I am already hooked. I highly suggest giving her songs a listen. She only has a handful of songs, but they're all so satisfying to listen to. My favourite songs from her are "Pulsar Star" "Unsubstantial" and "Bread".

this is a terrible development from a public health standpoint but from a personal standpoint if you want the vaccine: lie. lie your ass off.

your pharmacist won't ask what the qualifying health condition is (i don't think they're even allowed to), just make you check a box on the paperwork that you have one. your insurance may not pay for/reimburse you for the vaccine, but that won't keep you from getting it (as long as you can afford it - obviously big separate problem there.)

anecdotally: i have done this for years and no one cares. i've gotten a covid booster every 6 months for the past four years by checking the high risk box and absolutely no one has batted an eye, including my insurance, who theoretically probably know i don't have a qualifying condition.

so lie your ass off and go get your shot!
