Dendy's K.O... xD
Oh girl.
I like Sally quite a bit. Her old design brings me more nostalgia so I admit to being partial to it. Her new design is super cute though.
Who here remembers Steven Butler’s ….detailed renditions of her that jarred terribly with the overall style? (Or really any female character he drew.)
Morrigan Aensland Lore
Morrigan is a character from the game Vampire Hunter, or Darkstalkers in the US. Along with Dimitri the vampire, she is one of the protagonists of the Darkstalkers universe.. though not much of any of this is touched upon in the gameplay. The gameplay is a typical fighting game, more in the vein of Marvel, with massive combos and special ending moves that have near full screen FX.
Morrigan is the adopted daughter of Belial. That’s a big deal because Belial, in real life mythology (wait, so is it real?) is quite the heavyweight. He’s referred to as the leader of all dark beings, and sometimes even contrasted with God. (are you with God or Belial?) So whatever the technicalities, Belial seems to be the top ranking bad guy, or at least very, very high ranking.
Morrigan herself is a succubus. Visually, she totally has a vampire theme going, with bat wings.. actually 2 sets of bat wings, one on her back and another set on her head. (wtf?) BUT, she is a succubus as can be seen from her outfit, which ranks somewhere between NSFW and “how does that even work”. As a succubus, her job is to have sex with humans, where the lore surprisingly points out she is gender fluid, and to take people’s life-force. That’s what a traditional succubus does, but succubi of the Aensland family are a bit more evolved. If they can’t get outside to uh.. get life-force, a normal succubi would die after 2 days, Aenslandian succubi can excrete urm.. fluids, which can give them energy. (wait, if you can excrete it, don’t you already have the…) I have no idea how any of this stuff works… and it’s kind of gross if you think about it.. surviving on your own bodily excretions.. doesn’t seem to be the most hygienic solution. But Morrigan can do that… yum? There’s even a cut scene during the title intro where Morrigan has liquid dripping into her hands. (uh, so it comes from.. where? Is that sanitary?)
There’s also this whole story about Morrigan being too powerful for her own good… growing up, her powers would grow to the point of destroying her and a wide area around her. (like a nuke, basically) So Belial decides to split her soul in to three.. Which sort of explains why in the game Morrigan can summon a clone, and gang up on the opponent. Ok, that sort of makes sense, but where is the 3rd clone? The 3rd clone was contained by Belial (ya, these mythical types do mythical things) until his death. When Belial died, some other dude (Jedah) took over his position as the ruler of the underworld. The new leader took Morrigan’s split spirit and gave her a body. That was Lilith.
-she’s not exactly just a palette swap, Lilith has short hair!
Now Lilith is a succubus in actual real life mythology. (so is it real?) During the game’s sequel, Morrigan joins with Lilith (like, spirit-merge), and becomes whole again, since now she has herself, the clone, and Lilith. (collect all 3!) I don’t think it changed Morrigan in any way though.. you’d think she’d explode, but she’s mastered the art of not going nuclear critical I guess.
Morrigan has a strange temperament. Throughout the series, she doesn’t seem evil at all, and seems mostly just interested in keeping entertained. She just wants to have fun, ‘s all. That’s great protagonist material, but maybe not so good as head of the Aensland clan. She’s also a succubus, so seems to be able to make friends and get along with humans very well. To get their life-force? It’s hard to tell, but throughout the series, she seems to genuinely care for some humans, not in a romantic way, but an altruistic way, to just look out for their welfare. Of course, as a protagonist, she can’t be helplessly evil. She seems “nice” in many cases, and friendly and approachable beyond doing so just to get your life-force. Not very demon-like, or even succubus-like. I think the creators worked really hard to bend the worldview to make her morally acceptable.
Dimitri the vampire, on the other hand I think was conceptualized as the main protagonist, but I think Morrigan overtook his popularity. Dimitri is a vampire, and he looks terrifying at times, has a cold, conceited attitude.. and my impression of him is that he’s just not very nice. He’s fine being a vampire doing demon-like things… but that’s about it. He’s not friendly. I don’t want to meet him or any of his friends. So.. just not very good protagonist material. His condescending comments about every encounter doesn’t help too. It makes you wonder why the creators made him so… unlikeable, while they went so out of their way to make Morrigan so affable.
- I am Dimitri, will you be my –NOPE NOPE NOPE.
The one major aspect that I don’t see explained is her ability to fight. Why does she fight, and why is she good at it? With many other monsters, the traits are built in. Vampires have insane reflex and strength. Automatic good fighter material. That just doesn’t apply to a succubus. Sexy, friendly, excretes life supporting bodily fluids that she CONSUMES.. k, that establishes she is extra on a new level. She fights because it’s fun. Ok, take your horse excrement and go sell it somewhere else.
-This is FUN!!!
Her latest incarnation is in Marvel vs Capcom, Infinite, where she is very much at the center of the story pretty much the whole way. She’s in full 3D, and as everything becomes more realistic, it progressively becomes questionable how her outfit works at all. I mean, her pair of -bodyparts- are about to fall out while she’s standing. I guess the rest is magic. She’s a demon, so physics probably works differently for her and other entities not from the normal dimension. Maybe those aren’t even clothing, but just a part of her skin.. an anatomical organ that’s biologically stuck to her -bodyparts-.
“Men always look at them, I don’t find them interesting at all. They’re both a part of me. Lilith and my clone.”
So that’s about all I know about Morrigan Aensland. Maybe there’s more lore out there that’s been retconned in to rationalize the sequel or her subsequent showing up in other games. She’s one of the most recognized and well liked female fighter characters. I definitely remembered her from the one game I played with her in it. Didn’t know any of the lore at the time though. Just that she was so awesome she didn’t even bother walking.. just floated around. That’s pretty insane for a fighting game character.
They admitted that Sheep bitch is clone of Sally good to know that IDW fan brat doesn't see it but is there they knew is deep down is they're same.

Link isn't seeming to work right, but it's basically a side-by-side comparison of Lanolin the Sheep (Or really, Sally Sheeples) next to edits of Sally, showcasing the two are practically the same character.
And it's like... Yeah, this just proves how much Flynn still wants Sally to come back, no matter how much he says in PR that Sonic Team won't bring them back because they're irrelevant.
Like, it just makes things clearer that Sally Sheeples story was supposed to be Sally's down the line.
I dunno how people can like this comic and pretend it's good sometimes.
Shantae~!
I finally played and beat my first Shantae game (Half Genie Hero) and it was pretty fun! Looking forward to The Seven Sirens!

Please release this model
We never got an Anti Nicole in the comics, so I thought I’d have a go at designing her!
Even though Sonic Rush Adventure's soundtrack wasn't composed by Naganuma, it was still really sample-heavy (in fact I think the beatboxing from Vela Nova was used in the fight against the pirate robots). If it's not too much to ask, could you maybe try and see where some of the samples for SRA's soundtrack came from? Pretty please?
I actually do have quite a few Rush Adventure samples! Like you said it’s not as heavily accentuated as Rush but there’s still a lot of good stuff in there.
This “waaaahoooo!” sample comes from the Voice Spectral sample pack made by Best Service, and can be heard in SRA in both A New Venture and Plant Kingdom.
It’s not something I can exactly say is true, but this acoustic line from the provided loops in the Garageband software reminds me a lot of SRA as a whole, mainly leaning towards A New Venture.
This “hwaaaah” sample appears in a lot of sample libraries, but the one I found it in was the TyphoonSounds samples, so, uhhh… not a definitive origin but it’s definitely the same thing that can be heard in Plant Kingdom!
This “pump!” sample that also comes from the Voice Spectral pack can be heard in Plant Kingdom!
It’s not an origin whatsoever, but that iconic “SUE EVERYBODY” (or whatever its saying this week) sample from Plant Kingdom can also be heard in this song! 6 seconds into this preview to be precise. You have to sign in (with google, twitter or whatever) to hear it, but it’s definitely worth it because I assure you that’s the exact same vocal.
Hey. It’s that Hey sample you totally haven’t said “oh Hey“ to every Heyin’ day. Hey. Machine Heybyrinth. Comes from Voice Spectral.
I’ve read someone comparing the intro of this song from some random Xbox game to here in Coral Cave 1. But I dunno.
I still don’t know what a casino royale has to do with a ghost ship but nonetheless this vocal sample from Ueberschall’s Easy Listening sample pack can be heard in Haunted Ship.
This wail that I think I found in the Coldcut Kleptomania sample pack can be heard pitched up and sliced a bit in some parts of Haunted Ship.
it’s not from techno slam it’s not from frogger 2 it’s not from any other song that happens to use the same riff it’s from coldcut kleptomania again
This extended cut of the same siren that can be heard in Let Mom Sleep, found in Kleptomania once again, can be heard in Blizzard Peaks!
It’s a bit of a longshot that I think I’ve been too ‘yup thats definitely true’ on recently, but I personally believe Blizzard Peaks’ “HEY” scream can also be heard here in Savannah Citadel Day from Sonic Unleashed!
This classic “feelin’ hot hot hot” sample that comes from the Skip to my Loops sample pack and was featured in What U Need from Sonic Rush returns in SRA, in version 4 of the Windmill Village theme!
This “the beat kicks then I start rocking” sample that can be also found in Skip to my Loops appears in SRA’s boss theme, sliced up and raised in pitch. Often jokingly claimed to be “beefcakes the beef cakes the fuckin” by fans of the track.
This “OOOOOH” sample, also coming from Skip to my Loops (and formerly being heard in Vela-Nova from Sonic Rush) can be also heard in SRA’s boss theme!
I’m not sure where exactly it plays in the song, but sliced up parts of this drum loop from the Kleptomania sample pack can be found in the folder dedicated to samples used in SRA’s boss theme inside its ROM.
This brass sample from Kleptomania can also be found in the boss theme!
Like you mentioned yourself, this scatting sample inside Skip to my Loops, formerly being in Vela-Nova, can be heard in the Whisker/Johnny boss theme.
And last but not least, the famous Amen break can be heard in the music for Deep Core. Try to find an artist these days who hasn’t used this break in at least some shape or form— I guarantee you will not find one.
Welp, that’s about all I know. Hope it helped!
Its the year of the rabbit dont ya know?
Been having major artist block lately do I guess it just time to make stuff and put it out, no matter if I think it looks good or not
So have Ibuki and Kam walking and then a scene redraw of a scene from Lucky Star
Very quick sketch before work.
Prolly gone do a couple more of these, then take a break from these 2.
They are GOING to kill you
AND hit the griddy
My Personal Design of Ibuki Mioda! My favorite Danganronpa character (and without a doubt my wife and best friend lol) in my style! I kept it simple enough while also highlighting the things I like about her the most. Like her hair, her alternate colors, her bangs and of course, those horns of hers that I "kinda" transformed into makeshift ears cuz I thought it was cute.
Expect most of my Ibuki drawings to use this design unless I change it for whatever reason.
I think it's finally time to actually use this site. Stopped liking Twitter or X as they call it now anyway.
it's been almost 2 years
As shown in Sonic Rush Adventure (2007), dinosaurs are still extant in Blaze the Cat's home dimension.
Given that a character casually mentions defeating a dinosaur whilst on a journey, offering to gift it to you if you fulfill a mission for him, it's likely that the occupants of the dimension regularly hunt and tame them.
