Anthology of kids' comics we busted out last week! The kids each turned in a pencil drawing of their character, which I assembled into a group shot, inked, and colored. This week's Cartoon Club was #superhero themed, so I got some help designing a superhero team. In addition to my caped heroes (including the mysterious Calico avenger), we have the hero with the weights by @vibraniumbabe , the bird creature by @daryl.elena and Meteor Girl by @laura.martin.artist Then I inked the whole thing and we gave it to the kiddos to inspire them in creating their own team member! #teachingcomics (at The Center for Cartoon Studies)

Rice paper drawing from about a year ago. I don't think I liked it much at the time, and I almost threw out this whole sketchbook. But now I'm kind of into it! The hand and mug aren't great, but I like the wiggly line quality. Rice paper makes you ink fast!
