All of Shi Hyun's paintings in the museum were of Tae Hee or places that pertain to her. I cry I cry. 😭
Tae Hee to Se Joo: You live your lavish lives then complain that your lives are the hardest on Earth. Even when people get hurt, they don't live like you. (I bet you 100% Tae Hee was referencing when Soo Ji asked her if she knows hardships like yasss throw it back at them)
Tae Hee to Shi Hyun: Did you forget to come up with a plan in case you got caught?.....I hope you will never be alright.
Tae Hee to Soo Ji: You toyed with me according to the plan that you set up. Because of the plan, your mom’s evil past came to light. Shi Hyun, the person who was most precious to you, left you. How does it feel?........I want you to suffer for a long time. Don’t I deserve to say that?
SHE SNAPPED. EVERYONE IN THE COMMENTS BEEN SAYING THIS SINCE FOREVER.
It's like some of y'all can't admit Se Joo and Soo Ji are shitty unless you pull Shi Hyun into the mix. You can't defend them on their own merit so you gotta use Shi Hyun as a crutch. We know Shi Hyun is shitty but he's the only one willing to take punishment. He's the only one trying to pay his dues for his sins. His only crime in the second half of the drama was to drop these fake friends and them not allowing him to leave.
Please miss me with that shit about "Se Joo was just doing Tae Hee a favor by telling her". His intention was to harm. And stupid if he thinks Shi Hyun would even consider coming back after that.
Soo Ji has the worst victim complex in the drama. Like listen sweetie you cannot play a victim for a circumstance you created. Your story with your mom is cute and all but that ish is not an excuse. And somehow Se Joo really believes she is the victim. As much as Shi Hyun “abandoned” his friends (gee I wonder why he wants to drop this group of friends so bad, it’s not like they wanted him to go back to being their little puppet wow can’t imagine why he wants to leave), I have never actually seen Se Joo be an actual friend to Shi Hyun. He told Shi Hyun to go back to Soo Ji and you’re only done when Soo Ji says you’re done…..who says stuff like this and believe they’re friends? Shi Hyun’s friendship with Se Joo is contingent on the condition that he makes Soo Ji happy. Shi Hyun’s friendship with Soo Ji is contingent on the condition that he makes her happy lol. Say what you want about Shi Hyun but he’s the only one that wanted to get away from this toxicness for the last 10 episodes and they won’t let him. He’s been taking punishment that was meant for three.
The line where Tae Hee said all three of them are trash with no exceptions. That’s it. That’s the show’s summary. Put that on the plot synopsis. Nothing else needed.
y’all can literally fight me but I don’t have an ounce of sympathy for soo ji
Me watching the few Soo Ji stans that are left trying to grasp any ounce of weak arguments they got left in them. She about to run over two people fam what else y'all got? 😂
Tae Hee snapped today at her mom, Soo Ji’s mom, and Soo Ji. So long overdue but better late than never.
I love how Tae Hee gets called weak for always coming back to Shi Hyun but Se Joo gets called the perfect man for always coming back to Soo Ji & tolerating her toxic behavior even though she treats him like trash. That’s the tea.
Tae Hee set up a birthday cake for Shi Hyun and asking him if she can blow out one of the candles for a wish of her own. Tae Hee’s wish mirroring Shi Hyun’s mom wish word for word about wanting him to be happy and healthy. Then him saying “what kind of wish is that” in both instances and Tae Hee responds exactly as his mom “What else would I wish for?” I cry I cry 😭😭😭
If a man who you just got back together with gives you his mother’s necklace, kisses you when taking selfies, gives you sweet kisses while you’re in bed with him, tells you he loves you. Then suddenly he’s breaking up with you for reasons you can’t quite understand….YOU WOULD break. I don’t care how strong of a woman you are. You would undoubtably break. Literally any woman would, if you truly loved the man. So it’s weird that some people would hold Tae Hee to such a high standard of thinking she should’ve been stronger when YOU yourself would have done the same thing or worse. You want to uphold her to your standard of a strong woman but called her boring for her kind/forgiving nature which is the epitomity of a strong woman by the way. A strong woman can only take so much. Especially when she doesn’t even know that’s she’s a pawn in the grand scheme of things.
As for as the ratings go. Woo Do Hwan just booked his next role alongside with one of the most well known actors in South Korea right now. Moon Ga Young has gotten praise for her role as Choi Soo Ji. Each gained a shit ton of folllwers. Joy has gained many fans (including myself lol) that didn’t realize she was in a girl group (seriously, I thought Joy and Park Soo Young was different people lol). So I don’t think they are that sad with ratings as one may think considering they gained so much online buzz. MBC pretty much uploads any preview clips they have as often as they can because they know the show has a huge international fanbase. I don’t think the low ratings should be brought on the actors. I saw some blaming Joy for the ratings (wow shockers Knetz blaming an idol lol) and that doesn’t make sense. The low ratings appeared right from the first episode when she had like 5 seconds of screentime so that doesn’t make sense. I blame the plot. I watched the trailer, read character descriptions, read online before I knew what I was watching. So imagine a casual viewer that hasn’t done all that research, the show would look too confusing to them. If you were to just tune in to one scene, you would think it’s a show about the parents. If you tune into another scene, you think the show is about Tae Hee and Shi Hyun’s romance or the trio. So that’s why I think where it stems from. But even though I blame the ratings on plot, it’s also the main reason why I’m watching. This show took so many risks. Teacher-student relationship. Talking about sex. Which is so rare in Korean dramas. It’s what Heirs should have been. Not dramatic hand grabbing and then the ost starts playing. I’m here for the angst. I’m here for my sad or happy ending. I’m here till the end. Bring. It. On.
Eun Tae Hee: A smart engineering math genius that gets by scholarships. Gets ignored by her mother for most of her life. Barely sees her father. Drops out of school I’m assuming due to family problems. Suddenly gets hit by a car and left on the streets to bleed. Doesn’t even get to know who hit her. No apologies. No compensation. Then goes back to school to get her GED. Volunteers at nursing homes often. Work part-time jobs at cafe for money. Suddenly these three people just started to play around with her feelings and her life for basically being the object of someone’s affections. Canceling her dorm room. Using her friend to pump for information. Humiliating her constantly. Yet despite this, she maintains her morals. Kind. Sweet. Encouraging.Loyal. Forgiving.
Y’all: she’s bland.
Who said she's bland? Are they crazy?
It’s so funny the people rooting for Soo Ji are the ones she would have bullied if this was real life. That’s the ☕️ for today
I am so glad Shi Hyun shut down Soo Ji’s suggestion of marriage real quick. You either hurt her NOW by saying no. Like ripping off a band aid. Quick and sharp pain. Or you hurt her LATER with a loveless marriage fused with manipulation and conditions. Long lasting pain. Both using their friendship as a weapon and aiming it at the wrong people.
I love the difference between Tae Hee and Soo Ji. One loves so unconditionally. Tae Hee takes care of Shi Hyun. She encourages him to draw. She makes sure the ball does not hit him. By instinct, without even thinking about it. She protects him. No bets. No questions asked. The other one loves and lives so conditionally. Soo Ji needs endless promises along with physical and emotional contracts that she locks people in. One lives freely and unashamed while the other lives so cautiously and carefully that she doesn’t really live at all. Tae Hee’s “I love you” is different to Soo Ji’s “I love you BUT….”
