perhaps these were just the things that happened during nightlife, which was why duri was just completely unused to it. or found it to be weird in some sense of it, since he’s just not used to it at all. not to mention, it seems like whoever keeps flirting with him and trying to pass drinks upon him, didn’t quite seem to hear him. that or they were just ignoring him, which definitely didn’t feel great either.

his eyes looked around when sienna asks him the question, though he can’t quite seem to find them. he chuckles, “ah, i think he’s gone off to find the next person to flirt with!” he said. “maybe if i see him, i can point him out… but, there’s no need to start a fight! no violence!” he said, a chuckle leaving his lips. though, he nods at the words.

“don’t worry, there’s no need to leave with me when the time comes! i don’t want to ruin your night out!” he said, before giving another firm nod. “i’ll only show my face for a little while longer, before finally sneaking out,” he said, another soft chuckle leaving his lips. “thank you! i think i’m always really bad at shutting things down because what if they’re just being nice, you know? i don’t want to be that person!”

“no fun, sometimes violence is the best form of fun. just causes and all of that.” sienna waved her hand in a whatever way. “but i promise no violence unless i need too.” if the man came back around and tried anything with duri again. “i know it’s a night party but this is an industry event, classless.” that being said, industry events were prime hunting grounds.

“never be afraid to be that person.” she patted his back. “even if they add pressure, no is no.” she knew it was a simple guide that people failed to follow, what did consent matter? sienna eyed him, she didn’t mind either way. staying or going, both could work for her and she was happy to spend more time with duri. “i really don’t mind leaving with but just let me know when the time comes.” luckily, she had no issue with shutting someone down. “rude person aside, how has fashion week been for you?”

they were a little trio of three. though, the the main focus would be her and joohwan. joining them, was her haebyul, their videographer for the day. they also had self-cams and seinna had to remind herself that she couldn’t be as touchy with joohwan. “alright, our first stop.” she turned towards the camera, motioning for joohwan to look at it with her. “today, we’re getting our outfits together for fashion week! joohwan has offered himself up as model for today.”

she’d be making sure to shop for herself as well. once that intro was filmed, she made a motion for haebyul to stop recording and turned to joohwan to go over their plans for the day again. “we’ll go in this store and just look around with our self-cams, then we’ll actually film a bit with haebyul, after this, i have three more stores and then we can just hang out for a bit after.”

𝐁𝐔𝐑𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄 was her life, the threat of disappointment looming over her day-to-day. sometimes, it wasn't even a threat. most of the time, it wasn't, if she was being particularly honest. there were the big things, like the direction of her career ( and it should be an uptick, that she'd finally secured an invitation to the event ! ) and all the what-ifs therein. and there were the small things, like the amount of hair she found on her pillow when she woke in the morning. this, perhaps, fell somewhere in between.

the packaging was nice, haneul could admit that. but her brows drew closer and closer together as she continued digging deeper and deeper into her goodie bag. ❝ lip balm ? ❞ the impression could veer between surprised or appalled, based on how charitable one wished to be toward haneul. charitable was certainly something she wouldn't fault sienna for not being toward her, all things considered. how many years has it been since they've spoken ? surely, if haneul had her way, it would've been much longer. but eye contact had been made, and it wasn't like she could just turn away and ignore sienna.

well, at least, she could try.

the brunch had been great for someone who wanted to network. (someone like her.) and sienna had been enjoying it. it was a great way to market herself, appearing in post, getting behind the scenes looks. it wasn’t bad at all. those were the thoughts running through her head as she found herself at the marie claire brunch. food was in-front of her but sienna found herself riffling through her gift bag.

eh. good enough for a free event. (for her anyway, someone was paying) only for her to make eye-contact with haneul. awkward. sure. there was a layer of it but it wasn’t too burdensome. there wasn’t much reason to be awkward. it wasn’t as if she was the one who suffered. not as badly. “are you enjoying yourself?” she finally asked, breaking the silence. “enjoying your goodie bag?”

dazed korea x ul:kin x cahiers seoul fashion week afterparty. with @kangsxsienna

how he had ended up at the after-party is something that seems a bit beyond duri. he's not someone who parties, drinks (thanks to his alcohol allergy), or really even goes out at night - unless he's going out for a snack or something of that nature. nightlife is something that's completely beyond him, nor is it something that he really even has any idea about in the first place. but, he had managed to get convinced to come to the after party tonight, and he's easily convinced to do these things. even if he ends up on the walls, like a wallflower, rather than doing anything else. he was truly just very much an odd one out here. he wasn't entirely sure what to do.

what didn't seem to help was the fact that he had to keep turning down drinks, by people who kept seeming to show some kind of odd interest in him, in some sense. lots of flirting coming his way and him having to constantly explain that he couldn't drink what they were trying to hand him because they purchased him a drink. holding the coca-cola in his hands was something that didn't seem to be helping either, and he wasn't entirely sure how to get out of it in any sense of the way. plus, duri was always kind of bad at trying to leave something, anyways, because he didn't want to hurt any feelings.

but then, he manages to see sienna close by, and he knew that that was his way out. "noona!" duri calls out, over the loud music, his smile growing. he finally gets out of whatever was going on, going over to sienna. "i'm so glad you're here," he said, "i definitely don't belong here and people keep flirting with me, as well as trying to give me drinks," he states. "i definitely don't belong here!" he says, a firm nod leaving his head. "but, i'm glad i was able to move away from all of that, you're my savior!" he says, a giggle leaving his lips afterward.

tonight, she didn’t mind letting a little loose. even if her version of loose was a little muted. she wasn’t wasted enough to start dancing in the middle of the floor. but there were enough drinks flowing through her that she didn’t mind dancing off a little to the side.

buzzed.

though, the shock of duri followed by his was words had almost been enough to sober her up. it took a second to process but when it did, her eyes narrowed a bit. “who was it?” buzzed enough to cause a fight? eh? maybe not. still, she made sure to link her arms with his. “maybe i don’t need to go hunting for a fight but stick close to me alright?” she’d do her best to make sure that duri was protected.

“i think we’ll need to only show our faces for a little longer....” she downed the rest of her drink. “we can sneak out in a bit if you want and i’m sorry that happened to you. i’ll shut anything down if anyone tries anything again.”

if anyone had to ask joohwan which he preferred, he would also pick cuddling over stuffing his face. but he knew that if he was going to not be a rumbling human pillow, he would have to eat. he put a few on the plate, handed it over to sienna, and then made his own. “red nights?” he was tempted to tell her to choose, but he knew from experience how annoying that could be. after a few minutes, he ate his fill, got comfortable beside her, and opened his arms, resting them on the back of the sofa.

“your pillow is ready” he chuckled patting his chest with his right hand proudly. joohwan chuckled at her reaction and wrapped his arms around her small frame. “so what’s this movie about? is it horror movie?” he smiled moving a piece of her hair out of her face. joohwan thought the woman that sat right beside him was the most beautiful woman in the world, and that he was lucky to get to watch movies with her as much as he could.

“red light’s it is!” a small ‘whoo’ left her mouth after that. they could’ve gone with anyone. if it was horror, she was there. everything was nearly set up, all sienna did was push the coffee table slightly closer to the couch, reaching distance. the lights didn’t go off all the way but she used the remote to dim it a bit. lastly, her plant was loaded with food, finally getting to it while joohwan was eating. she wanted an easy reach. “okay good.” it was muttered more to herself as she finally got settled.

“as it should be.” she muttered, giving him a playful grin before slotting into place. turning herself just enough that she could freely without making a mess and snuggling up. “horror as always.” there was no reason to expect anything different when she was in charge of movie night. “what’s it about? i don’t know but the poster looked scary?” sienna shrugged, pressing play. “if it’s boring, we can switch something different.” she reached over, grabbing a peace of chicken. “are you staying the night?”

joohwan loved every moment that he was able to spend with sienna. there was just something about her, that comforted him. even if at the same time made him rather “uncomfortable” he smiled to himself walking up to their favorite chicken place.

“hello maam! i’m here for our usual” “hwannie! its so good to see you! tell your little friend i said hi.” “i will”

joohwan blushed and chuckled and was on his way. he had a close relationship with the owner of the restaurant just because of the amount of times he went there. the owner even joked that him and his friends from his company kept her in business. he’d have to remember to post a picture with the container later to return the favor of secrecy with her.

after a small amount of time, maybe thirty minutes he was walking up to the door. unlocked it and walked in ( the duo had keys to each other’s places ). “the food has arrived my lady” he teased putting the food on the table and began taking it out. he looked over at sienna and a smile grew across his face. “wearing one of my shirts again. looks better on you” he teased again winking in her direction.

“who’s shirt should i wear then?” sienna asked, getting comfortable on the couch. a teasing smile played on her face and she patted the spot next to her. she couldn’t get comfortable until her human body pillow was next to her. “and everything looks better on me.” there was some truth to it but it was easy to see she was being a little more playful.

once he was finished setting out the food, sienna started to reach for it. “so good, i could eat this everyday if i didn’t have to weight watch and when you get older, loosing is just as hard but i can’t resist.” there was a slight pause in food so she could grab the remote.

“get in, livid and red nights, which one sounds like one we should watch first?”

it was nice having a restaurant-cooked meal after a long day, right? at least, duri thought so. and no matter how hot or warm it happened to be outside, especially with how hot it has been recently; duri was definitely still going to go for a meal that was hot. no matter what, duri was going to opt for the meal that was nice and warm; sure, he enjoys cold noodles, things that are fallen into that realm. but, there was just something nice of having a warm meal at the end of the day and instead of just eating anything, because he didn’t feel like cooking; it was going to be better to eat at a restaurant, even if he was alone.

he chuckled happily when the other accepted the offer of sitting with him. duri was definitely glad that he wasn’t going to be eating alone, truth be told. nonetheless, he smile grows a bit more, “ah, good! i was hoping i wouldn’t have to eat alone,” he says, a small chuckle leaving his lips. “it’s always really nice getting to eat with a friend!” he says, a firm, excited nodding leaving his head afterward.

“i did! it’s been a long day today with a lot of work, so i was too tired to go home and cook like i usually would,” he said. “i thought it would be nice to have a meal here!” he added on. “i’m happy to see you too! it’s been a long while, right?”

“wouldn’t have it any other way.” as long as duri was the friend she was going to eat with. there were a few others but if duri had been someone who’s company she hadn’t enjoyed. Sienna could see her still ducking out and pretending not to see the wave. a little harsh? maybe but it was what it was.

“we had the same idea. long day, i wouldn’t have cooked but i didn’t want to heat anything up either...so i had the grand idea of coming here and what an idea it was.” her eyes went to the menu as she scanned it over. it didn’t take long to find what she what she was going to order. not one to stray from what she already had in mind when she wanted a quick and easy meal. not much thinking involved.

“it’s has been a while but now that album promotions have slowed down, i’ve slowed down in own way.” not something she would keep up. “how about you? you look well but how have you been?”

his smile grows a bit more, “me too!” he said, nodding in agreement. it really was just lovely doing something with a friend, he thinks. if anything, duri would much rather hang out with a friend than be alone. it helped combat any possibility of a feeling of loneliness - something that was always much better to do because then he simply wasn’t sitting alone. though, of course, there are times that duri likes being alone to recharge; but, right now, that was far from such a thing.

another nod comes from duri as he listens to sienna. he giggled happily, before speaking himself. “me too! i did so much work today, so it just seemed better for me to reward myself with a restaurant meal, instead of having to do any work of heating anything up or cooking,” he says, another small giggle leaving his lips. though, there was probably going to still involve the heating up of something later, like hot chocolate or tea, for when he’s winding down for the evening. something that was always rather nice.

nonetheless, he had finally picked out exactly what he was going to eat and he was ready to order, after taking some time actually picking out his order. “i’ve been good! i had things kind of slow down, but i’ve been busy this summer! i had the comeback in june, but then i’ve immediately started preparations for my next album. it was just the song i released in june wasn’t going to fit this upcoming album, so it got it’s separate release,” he said, a soft giggle leaving his lips once more. “what about you? do you have anything exciting coming up or are you just resting for now?”

“is the company working you hard? should i beat them up for you?” she joked, a large smile on her face. there weren’t many people she would go to war for but duri was very much apart of that group. “i think i’m ready too.” sienna replied, raising her arm to catch the attention of a server. “sounds good, winding down after a good day, i don’t doubt you’ve earned it.”

“you could say resting but we know that i don’t do that.” she started to reply, watching as the server headed over. sienna paused to give her order and give the duri the chance to give his. once they walked away, she turned her attention back to duri. “my album promotions wrapped up, so it’s back in the studio. right now, we’ve got nothing for angelic so i think focusing on festival performances and the like until it’s time for another release. i’ve been working on tracks to gear up for my first full album but i think it’s leaning in the direction of a mini.”

angelic’s sienna has made her solo debut under culture creative. angelic has been on a semi-hiatus after the release of their single “we ride” in 2020. since then, the members have been focused on their own solo activates with promises that the group will come together to release music again. things had been quiet for angelic’s youngest member until the news of her signing with culture creative last month. when she signed, the company released a short statement saying that they’re looking forward to future activities with the idol.

that came sooner than expected with news of her solo debut, and the single has just dropped. the music video for the single “touch” has just been released to a mixed response. while angelic has moved in a more mature direction, no oone expected sienna to debut with a concept that was widely different from what we’ve seen before. the soloist posted a video of her in the studio upon release, stating that she had been excited to show this side of herself to fans. sienna is credited as the writer and producer as well as making the choreography for “touch”.

“touch” will reportedly be promoted on music shows for three weeks.

"do you have any plans after the filming?” there was still enough time to make some idle chit-chat and possible plans. they were filming their last scene together but she wasn’t sure if he still had some solo shots to get done. having shown up-half way through the day. “if you’re free or if you only have a few left and then you’ll be free...wanna grab something to eat after?” there were a few places they could go without huge crowds.

staff were still running around, making a final few adjustments and sienna did her best not to mess anything up. namely her clothes. “i watched a few of your takes from earlier, it’s looking good.” she was in a bit of a career hiatus so her fans would get this at least. “i didn’t look too bad either if i so myself. and i do.”

joohwan rolled his eyes yet again and stopped massaging her ankle. “do you want me to stop then?” he joked going back to her other ankle leaning his head back against the sofa cusion. it wasn’t that he was ‘agreeable’ it was just that, somehow sienna was someone he cared about. so doing things that would make her feel good or better made him happy.

“how about bbq? i don’t think my stomach wants to burn today.” not only did his stomach want calmness, but he also knew tomorrow he would have to go do actual work at his dj gig.

“no practice today. i think my members have their own gigs.–” he shook his head before continuing– “no, you can go straight home. i’ll pick up the chicken” he chuckled. “meet at your place in about 90 minutes?”

“don’t you dare, my joints would be very upset.” not as bad as it sounded, sienna did take care of herself but a massage wouldn’t hurt. he had started it, there was no point in stopping. “bbq it is.” she gave a thumb’s up without looking from the screen in front of her.

“we won’t burn you’re insides. today at least. there is always hope for tomorrow.”

once the order had been placed, she closed her laptop, taking his words into consideration. “someone is assertive today and the order has been placed, under your name. no need to by the soju, i should have that.” she let herself enjoy his hands for a moment longer ---before swinging her legs off of him. “see you soon.”

she had gotten home quickly enough, the place wasn’t a mess so there was no need to worry about that. a quick shower and change of clothes (the latest sweater she stole from joohwan) and by the time he arrived, sienna finished bringing the drinks to her living room.

“i have the movies set up, drinks are ready, gimmie the food.”
