-clings to amos- "'m sorry that I was away for so long. I didn't think it'd be for that long." [from bear bc I'M LAME AF AND BEAR MISSES HIS BOOGEYMAN DEARLY ;n; ]
Amos is smothered by a body holding him closeâthe cannibal smiles a crooked smile and wraps his own arms around it in return.
âA-ah itâs okayâreally, I know you didnât mean toâŠâ
Fluttering his eyelashes, he snuggles closer to Bear.
âI havenât really been feelinâ all that well myselfâbut Iâm okay.â The short little boogeyman chirps and puffs his chest out, trying to seem tall.
âIâve missed you, mate.â
@kanniibale
Scrunching his nose, he wobbles on his tipy toes, clinging to Bear above him. It didnât matter if he couldnât reach fully, heâd fall trying. He carefully rakes his fingers through the dragonâs hair, attempting to be soothing in some odd way. Amos was only smiling wideâwhile trying not to feed the urge to shed some tears in happiness at Bearâs returnâbecause he was the boogeyman, he was tough!
âŠdammit, but maybe not today because if his mate kept looking at him like thatâ
Amos hums, nodding, âYeahâIâm feeling much betterâŠnow that youâre here, you know.â He brings Bearâs head down closer to him and begins kissing every inch of the tired face. He purrs to the mutant, tugging him gently with concern obvious on his face as well. âWell at least they know not to mess with you anymore, right?â He puffs out his cheeks and furrows his brows. âA-and if they donât, Iâll come with you an-and just scare them really bad! Thatâll work for sureâŠright?â He gnaws on his bottom lip, grabbing one of Bearâs hands and pulling gently on it. âCome to bed with meâŠwonât you? I havenât been sleepinâ so well without youâŠâ
It shouldnât have surprised him as much as it did, that assault of kisses - still, Bear emitted a startled squeak, scrunching his face up with each peck. But he smiled, entirely heartfelt, and each kiss brought with it more and more alleviation from the constant stress heâd been under for those weeks.
âI wish they did but I donât think theyâre gonna let me go that easily. I know too much.â The thought struck like a hot iron rod and the smile faltered on his face. Before any more thoughts could accompany it, the mutant shoved them down, holding onto the extended hand tightly, giving a shaky laugh. âYou scarinâ âem? Thatâd be interestinâ to watch. Iâm sure you could do it, though; theyâre a bunch of wussies.âÂ
Without a verbal answer, Bear trailed behind the boogeyman to the bed, not hesitating at all to kick his grimy boots off and crawl beneath the covers, drawing closer to his mate as though he were scared of the space between them. A heavy exhale passed through his nose, expelling the worries that plagued him, and one inhale replaced all of it with the comforting scent of the boogeyman that heâd missed so dearly.
âI love you, Amos. I donât wanna leave you again.â
