Christianity's innovation is it gives us the idea of a god who takes on temporal form, becomes a man, becomes a person subject to time, lives in time, suffers in time, dies in time, so that we will understand that, if we follow him, we can follow him out of time and he will save us by taking us to the realm that is out of time.

Historian Andrew Graham-Dixon has a radical new theory about the life and beliefs of the Dutch master
I ship him with Giorgio Locatelli. So hard.
I've slowed it down a bit and added count-ins to make it more singable. Please like and subscribe on the YouTube channel or Come join me on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/cw/KaraokegalPresents
Absolutely devastated. Circa early 80's he was the sexiest mofo on the planet. Final Conflict, Enigma and his brilliant performance here. It's such a shame he never got to be Bond.
Describing my antiquated state...
Is it me, or does calling myself an "alter kocker," (complete with Yiddish accent) not get the point across, or maybe make it too obvious, because "these kids" have no fucking idea what I am talking about.
I mean it is a "TV Trope," but other than that I feel the phrase has fallen out of common parlance, probably along with tons of other Yiddish-isms. Sometimes when people are complaining about how far they had to walk to get to where I work, I'll say, "It's a schlep, as my people would say," and often get blank stares.
Maybe if I were in NYC?
So how do I quickly and self-deprecatingly get the point across? Do I just use the grosser "old fart," or does no one say that anymore either?
Aging boomer?
Everytime I look at Facebook
Even for two seconds, even if I just limit my feed to people I like and care about....there's STILL something horrific and horrible and I just can't.
F'rinstance, yeah, I know Gov Gav isn't "perfect" on some of the issues near and dear to all my friends. (I genuinely do not believe he is throwing trans people under the bus, but as a cis het person, I don't get to argue the point.)
HOWEVER, I cannot and will not have us go down the 2016 path ever again and the postings about Gav are very much giving me that vibe.
So if you want to know why we can't have nice things and why I don't see/send birthday greetings on FB, THATS WHY!
Stay with me here for puppy pics, Bryan Ferry, karaoke pimping.....and all the Gov. Gav love in the world.
