Levi’s Team (Funger x pokemon AU)

Explanations:

Eevee

The evolution pokemon. It can become anything

It has so much potential! There’s so many options, and routes to take!

He only had it for a few years though. When he was sent to war, he wasn’t allowed to keep his eevee

???

Levi and his group were intended to be fodder. They weren’t meant to survive. If they were given ANY at all, the pokemon provided would probably have been weak and common ones.

Cubone

Started following him around only within the last month. It was newly hatched and he was one of the first living beings it saw at all. So it instinctively wants to stay with him

It’s not his pokemon officially

He hasn’t caught it but it follows him regardless.

Really just trying its best.

Uh and also unrelated but I have an additional non pokemon headcanon. I think Levi could totally have curly hair but for obvious reasons never learned how to take care of it so it looks all flat. Based on the fact his hair literally just looks like a shorter version of how my hair before I learned how to take care of my hair (being the only one with curly hair in a family who all only has pin straight hair SUCKS)

Finished the pokemon headcanons for Levi! I’ve now finished about a third of the characters I planned to do!! :3

(I won’t draw either of them (for different reasons though.) but I have teams for Reila and Caligura. Because there’s teams but no drawing I’m counting each as half. And then I’ll also do one for my self insert :)

Olivia's Team! (Funger x pokemon AU)

Minun

Explanations:

Minun

Her parents were very religious, and she was compared to her twin a lot. You CANNOT tell me her parents wouldn't do that weird thing of getting identical things for their twin children or getting them matching sets of things.

She was given a minun at a young age and Reila was given a plusle as HER starter.

Even before the strokes that made her need a wheelchair she's described as having been more introverted than Reila, and in some pokedex entries, Minun is also described as being more introverted than plusle, but they're usually in pairs.

Plusle and Minun get a big special attack boost if they enter a battle together, kind of like how if you take the two necklace halves that belonged to Olivia and Reila and make the 'blue noctuid necklace' item it gives a HUGE boost to defense. not exact match but similar-ish premise?

Weepinbell

Caught before the incident when it was a bellsprout. The only pokemon that she caught herself.

At first, it was because it's a grass type pokemon and she was into botany, but eventually that helped speed up the already developing interest in poisons.

as a kid, her parents tried to get rid of it because it accidentally poisoned her a couple times. she was frail as a child so it probably COULD have ended badly, but in the end, things were fine and nothing came of it.

It evolved around the same time that she lost the ability to walk. Although it's a pokemon that just loses it's lets naturally when it evolves, it was still comforting to have because it could still get around despite a lack of legs and it was encouraging for her.

Oddish

Hatched from an egg that came from Reila's Bellossom. It was a gift she got from her on the last day they ever saw each other. One of the major signs something was up after not having any contact with Reila for a while was the fact her Bellossom was in the box/PC and not with her.

Similarly to Weepinbell, is very useful in the study of plants, grass types, and poison/poison types.

in this objectively grim set of circumstances, is very cheerful and reassuring. It hatched less than a year ago- it hasn't exactly been around long so it's pretty oblivious to most things.

It won't evolve during the course of the game like i decided that Tanaka's team would, HOWEVER, once it does evolve instead of a Bellossum it'll evolve into a Vileplume :)

Most of them have similar-ish reasonings behind them and follow the character development he goes through in the game (well. For routes where he’s alive atleast.)

SLIGHTLY more in depth:

Doduo/Dodrio

There’s two cards that kinda show Doduo being vaguely associated with delivering things (I HAVE both cards but my collection is in the attic and I don’t know where it is smh.)

And kinda similarly, Tanaka was sent for some business deal because of his dad.

It evolves into dodrio

One of dodrio’s Pokédex entries says it’s smart but thinks too much and freezes up sometimes.

Wimpod/Golisopod

Goes from terrified to strong I guess

His wimpod evolves into a golisopod during the time he spends training with Marcoh

Poliwhirl/Politoed

Not really sure? It was really a choice I made just because it felt right?

Though. Politoeds that have longer curls on their head the stronger and high status they are, and when Tanaka has the headband, he’s one of the strongest contestants in the game and I thought that would be a kinda cool comparison

Also I know Politoed is a trade evolution. He did not trade it for it ti have evolved into Politoed. Let’s pretend that it can evolve without trading ok?
