Backstory My mother, Lisa Marcoux, met her partner Chris in 1999. Chris lived in the Netherlands and my mom lived in the U.S., but for 15 years they made a long distance relationship work, each traveling to visit the other once per year. I can hardly remember a time that Chris wasn't in my life....

My mom’s partner of 19 years unexpectedly passed away recently. He was her primary caretaker and provider ever since she was diagnosed with progressive M.S. in 2014, leaving her unable to work. We are now having to relocate her back to the states and provide her with housing, medical care, etc. Anything would be greatly appreciated! Even if you can't make a donation, please share! I think its because I tried so hard to not get my hopes up about him coming to visit that I just ignored it, but now that he is here, I have this feeling that he’s not going to come see me even though hes been saying he would stop by for months.
