Karkat huffed as he punched in his destination. This was maybe the most ridiculous thing heâd ever done. But somehow he seemed compulsed to do it. He was curious, and Tavito just kept sparking that up. So he was almost relieved for a chance to figure out what all that guy wasâŠ
Karkat had seen some people in pretty weird sleeping positions before, even eyes open, so he wouldnât have been surprised. He was relieved that he wasnât though. It would have been awkward. Though, seeing him now, he got a little nervous about the wrestling. Especially when wolves were mentioned. He swallowed uneasily and followed Tavito, mumbling something about holy shit and this or that.
"Oh donât worry, youâll be fine!"
Tavito leads Karkat into a field and stands proudly despite his short height.
"Come on, come at me!"
He smirks, crouching down and waiting.
This reminded Karkat of the one time Dave showed him something called midget wrestling. Except Karkat had never even wrestled before, so it would either be much less or much more entertaining. Confused, he ran at Tavito in a way suggestive of tackling. Which is sort of what he was trying to do.
Tavito became confused as well, letting Karkat tackle him down, only to roll him over. He puts his hands on Karkatâs elbows to keep him down. He tilts his head.
"Have you ever wrestled?"
Karkatâs face turned deeply red, and he tried to move his hands to cover it up, but Tavito was much stronger than heâd anticipated. âUhâŠno, never. Unless you count that one time Dave held me down and made me draw dicks on the floor.
Tavito giggled and let go of his elbows, straddling Karkat.
"Well that explains things! Why didnât you say so, babe?"
Tavito winks and rolls off of Karkat and onto the ground.
"I can go easy on you."
Karkat looked up at Tavito and huffed, standing up and brushing himself off. âI donât need you to go easy on me â/babe/â. You just took me by surprise, I can do this once I get warmed up. Hey, look at that!â He didnât even wait to see if Tavito was looking away before he rushed him and jumped on his back, with a battle cry worthy of a chihuahua.
Tavito huffed as he had a face full of Vantas trying to pin him down, pressing back against him to try and get him onto his back again.
"Arenât you precious? You definitely need me, to be easy on you!"
Karkat hung tight to Tavitoâs back, growling competitively. âNO! Iâm gonna take you DOWN, NITRAM!â Except he wasnât doing much of that. He was just exerting way too much energy trying not to be taken down. He was underweight and out of shape.
Tavito rolled his eyes before standing, lifting Karkat in his arms, looking over him.
"Youâre bad at this. Maybe you should do farming with me! Or maybe we can go wolf wrestling together. Or better yet, bear wrestling!"
He squirms and glares. âFirst of all, we arenât doing anything until someone wins. And by someone I mean me. Second of all, why would I want to wrestle a bear or a wolf? That sounds like a terrible and dangerous idea. Now put me down and let me kick your ass!â He pouts, swinging his fists around.
Tav rolls his eyes as well before putting Karkat over his shoulder.
"Well, Iâm a communer, and Iâm sure I can make them not attack you. At least, not to maim you."
He shrugs and drops Karkat with a whistle.
"Here, attack me again."
With a look of determination, Karkat ducked his head down and plowed into Tavito with all his might, which hurt him probably more than it hurt Tav.
Tavito coughed a little, getting a good grip on Karkatâs shoulders after being rammed into. He pretends to fall, making Karkat fall on top of him.
"Oh no, what will I do?"
"Surrender!" He snarls and pins Tavito down by his wrists, grinning proudly. But also blushing furiously, and hoping Tav doesnât notice the latter before heâs announced the winner.
"Alright, alright, you⊠Are blushing!"
He grins and easily moves his hands out of Karkatâs grip to prod his cheeks. He doesnât move otherwise, still âpinnedâ.
"So cute! You win, all of the awards!"
He grumbles and covers his cheeks, eyebrows drawn close together as he smacks Tavito's hands away. "Stop that!" And he blushes more. As a matter of fact, his whole face is red, and his hands can't fix that. He looks away nervously and clears his throat. "Good, I win. AlsoIthinkIlikeyou." He mumbles this last part as fast as he can, then hops to his feet and brushes off. "So what should we do next?"
Karkat looked at Gamzee scrutinously, stopping for a moment. âHey, man. Are you alright? You actually seem nervous.â He was worried. Was this awkward for his friend? He didnât want it to be. He felt surprisingly comfortable around Gamzee.
Looking over at him, you smile...
Karkat blinks and tilts his head as he stirs his own bowl. "You started without me. Oh." He snuck his finger into the batter and pulled it out, licking it. He scrunched his nose. It seems Gamzee was a better cook than he thought, even with the obvious hints of Faygo that must have been used to color the batter. He poured some of his mixture in the pan first, and then frowns. "Mine are gonna burn. I can't cook for shit." He looked up at Gamzee with a hint of 'this means help I want good pancakes'.
