“  good because if not i would need to remind you  AND  everyone here.   and i’d hate to be that embarrassing boyfriend.  ”    jake replied with a chuckle as he kept miranda close to him.   he didn’t mind plans changing if it still meant he could spend the minutes,   hours,   and days with her.   the adoration he held for miranda was second to none.   a tiny ghost of a peck is placed to her lips,   smiling.    “  and stay the night?  ”

laughed softly at his words, bright smile spreading onto her features.  “  oh yeah? would you really hate it, though? hmm? reminding me that i’m your girl in front of all these people?  ”  she queried, arching a brow. she wasn’t used to liking people, but she really liked jake a whole lot. he was charming in ways that most guys weren’t. nodded at the query, finding it quite endearing that he wanted her to spend the night.  “  yeah, i’ll stay the night.  ”

“i was just stating the fact that it seemed a little threatening for someone who needs me for whatever project it is. then again, you’ve already kicked me, so i shouldn’t be surprised, should i?” he shrugged his shoulders. he was usually seen as some sort of lapdog for people who needed help with something. he was nerdy, easily the kind of person who you might pass by in a hallway and suspect knew their way around every sort of book or technology or class ( you’d be correct for the most part ). but he wasn’t dumb either, he just wasn’t sociable, for the most part. “and you came to me instead of some private investigator because you, what, hear my going rates for doing stuff is just so reasonable and there’s is market value?” he asked once he heard faith’s request. it wasn’t out of the realm of things he’d heard before. but still. it was something different, and unexpected. 

“well, maybe if you didn’t say stupid shit you wouldn’t feel threatened. did you ever consider that? i stand by my decision to kick you, kai. you shouldn’t have fucked around ... you wouldn’t have had to find out.” people tested her patience way too frequently, and she could never understand why they did it, either. “actually, i came to you because a private investigator would likely ask a lot more questions considering they have legit businesses. you don’t need me to answer a ton of invasive questions, i just need you to do what i’m asking you to do and leave it at that. the less you know the better.” he might’ve pissed her off, but faith did not want to drag kai too deeply into the chaos that was her life. he wasn’t a bad person just because he was notorious for annoying her.

hayes shrugged his shoulders at her point, nodding his head in defeat. “you’re right,” the wheels stopped spinning in his head. he’d begun to think of a way he could use it in a script and now, well, it seemed like a lost cause. “they’d probably call and say they heard something. though, would the cops really believe them?” he didn’t know if they would. then again, he dealt in television and film cops and never the real deal thing. so he wouldn’t know, unless it was someone who was paid to give their perspective on if shit was real on a set or a script. “and why do you want to start now, then? if there’s a good enough reason, maybe that’s an idea itself. wait, maybe that doesn’t make sense. i’m not a writer or anything.” hayes laughed.

“i mean, i can’t say for certain if the cops would or wouldn’t believe them, but it’s definitely not a risk that i’d be willing to take. you know? like ... it’s a real gamble and definitely not worth the potential consequences.” she’d rather not be questioned by cops or analyzed by them, so charlotte would not be making any statements that would very likely turn heads. she wasn’t well versed in the legal system or how they handled comments like that, and she also didn’t have any interest in finding out. “i guess i’m just ready to make a change. haven’t you ever felt that way about something? that’s probably not really much of an idea, so i’m sorry if i let you down.”

“i’m not going to tell you what to do, of course. but…maybe a little trip wouldn’t be the worst thing on the planet for him?” tatum would enjoy it that was for sure. sighing she knew that reese was right but it just sucked, she wanted to be finished with the guy and be able to move on with her life. with reese. “yeah, yeah okay. i just don’t want to be with him forever, you know? we can barely spend time together anymore, i hate how he acts around me — like i’m someone who should be thankful he’s chosen me. what the fuck is up with that?” reese never acted like that with her, never brought his career into things. he was the type of person she wanted to spend her life with, not that annoying piece of shit boyfriend she currently had. “maybe…maybe if he cheats on me, then he’ll break things off? realise we’re not good together?” the irony was not lost on her with that suggestion. 

“sounds like you’re kinda telling me to do without actually telling me what to do,” he observed, arching a brow. would reese trip the guy? absolutely. wouldn’t feel guilty, either. he couldn’t stand liam, but he knew that he was a part of the band and he’d been his friend at one point. as far as liam was concerned, they were still friends, and reese hated having to play pretend. “i know you don’t want that. we’ll figure it out eventually, babe. i don’t know what we’re going to do, but we’ll do something. the fame has given him a pretty big head, i’ll give you that. he just needs a reality call.” he also thought the guy needed a punch to the face, but he knew he couldn’t be the one to do that. he could ’accidentally’ trip him, though. “what? you want me to try and get someone to go and fuck him?” considering what the two of them did behind his back, he didn’t see anything inherently wrong with it, but it was a matter of actually getting liam to cheat on her. could he successfully get the guy to do that? reese wasn’t certain, but he’d give it his best efforts.

“bad things happen if you break them.” greyson sing songed, waving her hands as if she were doing jazz fingers in some sort of cheer competition film. “name one bad thing that’s happened because someone broke a pinky promise, brady.” she giggled. she liked having conversations like this. with her family everything was high strung, stressful, and to the point – except with her siblings when they were on their own. but that was a hard thing to handle. and this kind of thing, it was easy, it just made her feel relaxed. even if she wanted to turn back and look at the artwork she’d been working on and was still thinking of, she knew better and was actually in the moment. “yes, sure, it adds to your charm, i’m just glad you said it and not me.” she slightly rolled her eyes at him, shaking her head as she took his hand and allowed him to walk her away from the room. it was hard to actually leave the room and everything in it behind, but she was doing it. and really leaving it all and walking away, just to focus on the day with brady. which was what was important, right? “i’m holding you to that, you know.”

“don’t tease me about it! it’s totally true. any experienced pinky promiser would know that.” to anyone would could’ve been eavesdropping on them if they were in public, the conversation would’ve likely had them judging the pair. after all, they were two twenty-somethings discussing pinky promises, but brady didn’t give a damn about any of that or what other people might’ve wanted to say. “you know, i’m pretty sure i’ve heard that some people think that breaking a pinky promise means you should get your pinky cut off. i don’t know about you, but i kind of like having my pinky.” he thought he maintained a decent work - life balance, and he tried to make sure the people that he cared about did the same thing. greyson was no exception to that, she was just more stubborn than most. he snorted at her statement, cheeky grin spreading across his lips. “someone had to say it. i am known to be very charming.” as long as she agreed, that was half of the battle. “that’s fine, grey. you can hold me to it. you’ll see that i’m right and we’re gonna have a great time.”

“i suppose so, all i knew growing up was that other girls got days off whenever they had the smallest tickle in their throats or wanted to have a weekday sleepover meanwhile i was the one who got dragged in regardless.” it was hard for aubrey to say what kind of parent she would be, whether she’d let her child stay off every so often or be strict about it. “a tik tok? what, like those little mini movies? why would he need an extension for that? honestly, i don’t understand.” maybe it was because aubrey was getting older, newer apps and social media sites going right over her head. her social media and marketing teams knew everything there was to know about it, but her? she enjoyed instagram occasionally but that was it — too many weddings and babies. she wasn’t quite so sure what it would be like going on an outing with lorenzo, one that didn’t involve them trying to hunt down a demon and trap it in hell or wherever it had come from. it had been years since the two of them had spent any meaningful time together, they had been teenagers. as adults she wasn’t quite so sure how they fit together. “hey, like i said my mom has used these for major life events and she hasn’t croaked it yet so…it’s better than me having a gun, i can’t shoot for shit. i’d only run the risk of shooting one of us instead of that thing.” in the heat of the moment aubrey wasn’t so sure how she would react, having a deadly weapon in her hand was simply asking for trouble that they really did not need at the moment, or ever. 

“some kids got out so easily, i was always jealous of them. i’m pretty sure i remember some of them talking about how they stayed up too late one night so their parents just let them stay home and rest. i’d have to be on my death bed if i was staying home.” he still couldn’t believe he’d opted to become a professor out of everything else he could’ve been in the world when he hated school as much as he did. lorenzo wouldn’t dwell on his career choices for too long, though. “i... i don’t think they’re mini movies. they’re more like ... clips? they’re very short videos, not long enough to be called a mini movie. apparently some people put a lot of effort into them and it takes them hours to make something that only last a few seconds long. i can’t understand why they don’t apply themselves that much to their studies.” social media perplexed the man. he was more than capable of using it, he understood most plaforms, he just didn’t see the appeal in many of them. the students in his classes had no issues sharing as much information about each new app as possible. lorenzo tended to tune most of those conversations out, though. it’d be nice to go on a proper outing with her once they got to the bottom of this, one that didn’t involve them hunting down a demon or sitting at a bar downing drinks and their sorrows simultaneously. “well, since she hasn’t croaked it i guess i’ve got a little more confidence in them. at least ... more confidence than i have in you trying to defend us with a gun.”

marnie tended to be the decision maker in almost any situation she was thrown in to, it was natural for her given how bossy and opinionated she tended to be. but heather didn’t want that, not right now. she wanted marnie to understand what she had done wrong and how she needed to learn from it, which honestly sucked for her but she was willing to try and adapt, to compromise and meet somewhere in the middle. when heather agreed to leave she let out a loud exhale, “thank fuck, i hate this place. it smells like a boys locker room mixed with a brewery. i think i’m gonna need to shower the smell off.” wrinkling her nose she double checked she had her purse and coat before squeezing her girlfriend’s hand and beginning to lead them toward the entrance and exit of the place. 

heather was usually willing to let marnie take the lead, because between the pair, marnie was definitely the one who had more of a need for control. she didn’t usually mind it, either, but this was different. there were times where heather wanted to do things on her own and she needed the girl to be understanding and accepting of that. heather hardly ever asked marnie for much of anything, but this was one thing that she would have to learn to compromise on. sticking around wasn’t necessary as far as she was concerned. she was sure they could spend their time better at home anyways, and she always preferred that to going out. leaving would occasionally cause problems for the pair anyways. “yeah, but they make the best drinks here so you kinda gotta deal with the stench.” she had alcohol at home, though, so she’d deal with it. heather was glad to be out in the fresh air anyways, loved the way the breeze hit her just right and gave her a sense of calmness.

hope wondered what it was like for their parents, but only in the broadest of terms. she thought about what it was like to make them become who they were. but it was never something that hope could have done for herself, live the way that their parents did. it was just never something hope wanted, she wanted to have something honest in life, even if she had to fight for it. and it was still something she had to battle daily. at least faith understood the past she battled. “the problem is, george and patricia could never apply themselves. not like that.” she said with a slight laugh in her voice as she spoke. 

faith didn’t care much for the lifestyle her parents chose to have, she didn’t see the appeal in any of it. it wasn’t like they were oblivious to the risks involved, either. they just didn’t care and faith wondered how that was possible. was all of it really worth a potential prison sentence? she didn’t think it was. then again, orange really wasn’t her color. “well, as long as george and patricia stay far the fuck away from me, i don’t care what they choose to do with their lives anymore.” all that she wanted was for her parents to leave her alone for the rest of their lives and stop reaching out to her. it became significantly worse the more she built up her wealth on her own and faith could genuinely say she hated her parents.

parker was really just doing this as a way of distracting. because, if they were in an argument like this – and it was a stupid one, he would give it that – then she wouldn’t remember the fact that she had been trying to push him away. at least not right then. “burn. is this the sport you play best? i don’t think it’s really your calling, but sure.” maybe it was childish, these sorts of comments back and forth. but did he really care at the moment? not entirely. and he was just looking over in willow’s direction, attempting to seem so nonchalant and chill when he was really the opposite ( most of the time ). “insufferable? that’s a new one. don’t think anyone’s called me that to my face before.” he chuckled and shook his head. 

he was incredibly annoying in that moment, willow didn’t know how she put up with his antics at certain times. she rolled her eyes at him, knowing full well she was still going to take the bait. she wasn’t known for backing down, she had always been a fighter her entire life and she wasn’t going to be changing her ways any time in the near future. “jealous you’re not as talented as i am, parker? ‘cause that was pretty immature.” she was not ignorant to the fact that her own statement had been infantile, she just didn’t give a damn. “ah, yes ... the key phrase of that statement being ‘to your face.’ i’m sure it has been said about you plenty of times behind your back, i’m just blunt enough to tell you shit directly.”

“i just…i just don’t see it”, she stated with a shrug of one shoulder, “never have and i really don’t think so, he probably thought i was an easy lay or something and wanted to try.” which lowen would never have gone for in a million years, whether she thought herself hot or otherwise. she pinched her brows together at the mention of him assessing the situation before jumping in — she really was doubtful of that, but decided to just keep her mouth shut on that front. “okay, okay…can we just, can we just forget about him and his stupid instagram account with his stupid amount of followers? the guy was annoying.” did he deserve what happened to him? lowen was kind of caught in the middle with that one. chase was only standing up for her, she loved that about him. she wasn’t above enjoying a man fighting for her honour, despite what other girls might think about it. but only chase. “can we get some food? i’m starving, i barely had anything to drink and now i’m just hungry”, she admitted with a grimace. 

“you’re too hard on yourself for no reason, babe. like ... you’re fucking hot. guys like that are gonna hit on you because they think they stand a chance. he was such a cocky fucking asshole, too. that stupid smug grin on his face had no reason to be there.” he didn’t know the guy, but chase still hated him. “yeah, of course we can forget about him. that’s all i wanna do. i just don’t think you should keep ignoring me when i tell you what that fucker was doing. i know he was annoying and i don’t care about his stupid follower count. i care about the fact that he was hitting on you and practically fucking drooling. he’s a waste of space.” not that chase didn’t also view himself as one, but semantics. chase wouldn’t apologize for punching the guy, he had it coming and he’d do it all over again if he saw him on the street minding his own business. he sighed at her question before nodding in response. “yeah, of course. we can go do whatever you wanna do, baby.”

premise: carina is the reincarnation of eros, the greek god of sexual desire. she’s a wedding and events planner, and ironically has the worst luck when it comes to her love life. case in point: she’s planning her ex’s wedding to another person. your muse can either be her ex, the ex’s best friend (maid of honour or best man), her best friend, someone in the wedding party, etc. 

                         WHY DOES she keep doing this to herself? for someone who knew about her past life, she figured that she should have better luck. or perhaps the fates, wherever the fuck they are, are having fun at her expense. was this some sort of divine retribution for how wrathful she used to be in her past life? she’s sitting there, ipad turned on to her notes, and her laptop open to the excel spreadsheet. this should be my wedding, she thought to herself. but it wasn’t. because they were marrying someone else. she blinked back a few tears that were threatening to roll down her cheeks. she took a swig from her red wine and feels the burning stare to the back of her head. “what?” she snapped, before wincing. “sorry, i’m just thinking about the seating arrangements,” she lied. 

elijah never would have predicted that carina of all people would be his wedding planner. admittedly, discovering his ex would be participating in wedding planning had been a hard pill for him to swallow. his fiance was adamant on having her be the one to do it, though, and he’d lost out on that argument. he suspected that this was just as awkward and uncomfortable for her as it’d been for him, and he did his best to keep his distance as much as possible and allow everyone else to handle the planning process of the wedding. it wasn’t like he was trying to make her life any more difficult. this wasn’t exactly easy for him, either. years of knowing her gave him the feeling that something was off, and also had him believe she wasn’t exactly being honest as to why she’d snapped at him. “i know i probably shouldn’t push you on this, and i’m sorry ... but i feel like you’re not really telling me the truth right now. is everything actually okay?”

stella was more than accustomed to being given gifts, some she pretended she adored and others she really did. but this? this was on another level, not because of what it was but because of who had bought it for her. she truly was speechless. “you didn’t need to get the whole set babe”, she laughed despite her glee, the diamonds on the necklace glinting in the light. gen was right, her previous job had been hectic and stella hadn’t seen her that often, but she had expected it, given how successful she was. “you have? that’s…that’s amazing peach, i can’t wait. we got some time to make up for don’t we?” 

genevieve enjoyed both receiving gifts and giving them out to people in her life. stella was someone she wanted to take care of, which was not what she anticipated would happen when the woman showed up at her door to confront her all that time ago. “of course i did, babe. there’s nothing worse than an incomplete set. besides, you deserve it.” the blonde had been patient with her, understanding of her schedule and time constraints and genevieve desperately wanted to make it up to her. both with gifts and her time. “yes, i have. it was time for me to take a few steps away. chloe can handle larger tasks and i’m going to give her the chance to prove herself. we really do have a lot of time to make up for, and i’m more than ready to start doing that.”

davina loved her siblings, more than anything. but everyone else in her family? it was a grain of salt ( or the whole bucket of it ) that she had to take them with. and she knew it. but still, she had to go to family events and deal with all of them whether she wanted to or not. “oh my god, i can barely boil water! we’d be screwed. we need to find another person for our little survival squad if anything ever happens, or we’re the first to die.” davina laughed, shaking her head at the thought. hopefully nothing did ever happen. but it wasn’t like she never thought about that sort of thing. “okay, pick whatever cupcake you want. like i said, it’s on me.” she said, gesturing to the bakery’s displays with a nod of her head. 

cameron was glad her situation was a little different than davina’s. for awhile now, it’d just been herself and clarissa, no worries of other family members or attending events. however, she didn’t think davina had to deal with the guilt of knowing what her parents had done to other people and not turning them in. her reasons were mostly selfish, she didn’t want to be involved in a media circus. all she wanted to do was live a quiet life, and she’d managed to do that since moving to town. cameron chuckled at her joke and shook her head slightly. “you know what? i think you’re right. we’ve definitely gotta make sure we find ourselves someone who has survival skills.” she had self preservation skills, but that was about it. cameron examined the cupcake display, finding herself a bit overwhelmed by the massive selection. “i think i’ll be pretty basic and go with that red velvet one,” she told davina, gesturing to the cupcake she was referring to.

            can’t  help  the  slight  gasp  of  surprise  that  leaves  her  at  his  laugh,  his  words,  swallowing  slowly  and  cautiously  with  the  blade  still  held  against  her  throat.  “  i  ..  can’t  believe  this  ..  ”  femme  murmurs  breathlessly,  keeping  her  eyes  to  his  and  attempting  to  appeal  to  this  distraction  he’d  voiced.  she  arches  her  back  as  much  as  she  can,  moaning  sharply  as  the  pain  in  her  side  grows,  her  wound  stretching  open.  “  you  don’t  have  to  kill  me,  ”  knows  there’s  a  very  large  chance  words  would  be  immediately  futile,  but  there  was  no  way  she  couldn’t  try.  “  you’re  not  looking  at  me  like  you  want  to  kill  me,  you’re  looking  at  me  like  you  want  to  fuck  me,  ”  turns  his  words  back  on  him,  staring  at  him  as  the  accusation  lingers  and  she  tries  to  steady  her  breath.  

wonders if perhaps he’s a little more deranged than he initially believed himself to be. after all, aiden could acknowledge he was at least a little fucked up considering he did kill people for a living. never quite experienced any sort of arousal before, though, and he blamed it entirely on the noises she was making. he agreed with that sentiment. aiden couldn’t believe it either, but there he was. she was stunning, one of the most beautiful people he’d ever laid his eyes on. it was a real shame he was meant to kill her. brows furrowed in confusion at her words, head canting slightly while he looked down at her.  “  i can’t let you live. you’ve seen my face, you know who i am.  ”  surely she wasn’t stupid enough to not know that. aiden scoffed indignantly at the girl’s words, despite the fact that she was spot on.  “  i can’t fuck you.  ”  he wasn’t denying that he did want to, because given his labored breathing and the way he was looking at her, there was no chance in hell he could convince her that he didn’t.

storming up to them flora didn’t waste a second before stepping in front of the blonde they had just been groping. “are you kidding me? you’re deciding to hook up with her?” her being flora’s childhood friend turned utter enemy because of behaviour eerily similar to this only with an actual boyfriend. “why don’t you go and lick the toilet seat in the bathroom, i’m sure you’ll have less a chance of contracting something.” rude and the girl instantly piped up but flora shooed her away with her right hand. this wasn’t even really about her, not at all.
