Drove to a park I remember visiting with my dad in the 90s, and probably haven’t been back since then? Knew exactly where to go based on memory alone. Something poetic here about the old and new.

on the right is his current life over 7 years later with his butterfly blueberry milk tea that i bought for him and definitely not for me.

My best friend flew over to visit this week, and I took Karn along so he could see San Diego. Checked out the SDCC museum, the Whaley House, and Carlsbad flower fields.

Karn and I popped into Disneyland last night for an after hours event. Got a banana split at the gibson girl ice cream parlor!

first pic is bringing him back to the hotel and throwing my newly acquired collection of mardi gras beads on him. second pic is after his spa treatment after arriving back home from our flight, his fur freshly fluffed!

we spent at least an hour sitting on the grass, eating strawberry ice cream, and watching the fountains. this is what it’s all about.

last day of our trip was spent at epic universe, which just opened last year! we went to darkmoor first!

#super nintendo world was my most favorite because they have the full thing!#over in hollywood we have a smaller version and it's still a lot of fun but we lack the yoshi ride and donkey kong country #which are two of my most favorite nintendo things so...i was just ecstatic #the rest of the park was also very amazing there's a ton of detail #monsters unchained was wonderful the animatronics are literally like 10 feet tall

the next park we visited was islands of adventure! lots of very cool theming here. toon lagoon was my favorite!

he really didn’t appreciate being crammed into a locker for every attraction but unfortunately those are their rules. he did get to ride the cat in the hat ride but i don’t think he appreciated that either.

our trip happened to be just soon after starting their mardi gras season! we were given bead necklaces throughout the day, and then got 10x as many thrown at us during the parade!

he liked the gold ones the best until he realized they were cheap plastic. but at least they make him look shiny.

first visit to universal orlando this past week!
