They had changed, both of them, whether it was a long time ago or merely months ago. What mattered right now was that they were happy.
Eddie rubbed their noses together after the kiss, “It’s the positive choice I’m gonna make as a step towards being a better dad than my own for our future kids. i wanna show them that yeah, we make mistakes but we overcome them.”
“You’re going to be such a great dad when we have kids. They are going to look up to you so much and I know that they are going to love you so so much. You’re going to be the fun dad, I can tell.”
“Don’t sell yourself short now. You’ve got a job that saves a lot of lives and you know a lot about the medical system, which could be really helpful in the long run,” Eddie said as he spoke softly to Eds, “You’re gonna be a great dad too, I just know it. We’re gonna be the best dads but we also have to be okay with ourselves when we make mistakes.”
"With my medical knowledge, I just hope that I don't become my mom. I never want to out my kids through what I went through, to be scared of everything that could injure me. I want kids to be adventurous and climb trees, play in he mud and make mud pies, get dirty and scrap their knees whilst posting with their friends without being dragged to the hospital or having pills shoved down their throat."
