I think what a lot of people fail (probably willingly in a lot of places) to realize is that misogyny, racism, transphobia etc. is that they are describing SYSTEMS of oppression, not necessarily individual bigoted views.

Misogyny is a system because society systemically oppresses women, black people asian people indigenous people etc. are systemically oppressed by racism, trans people are systemically oppressed by transphobia- they are not solely individual actions but the sum of everything that a society runs on.

Misandry is not real because there is no systemic oppression of men in society. Straight up. To argue otherwise is to also suggest that there is also systemic oppression of white people, or cis people, which we all know it complete horseshit (or, I hope we all think that.)

What I think a lot of people are seeing when they cry misandry is just, someone not liking men, or hating men- but that's not a system.

People can hold anti-men attitudes, hell, we could even call it "being anti-men", but that is not proof that systemic oppression of men in society exists.

This is why transmisogyny is a thing, because there is an intersection between the oppression of women, and the oppression of trans people, but transmisandry/transandrophobia aren't real things. There is no intersection of systemic oppression towards trans people, and men, because one of those axes straight up does not exist.

But it still possible for individual people to be anti-trans men/anti-trans masc, and sometimes it's worth pointing that out, but you don't have to invent an entire imaginary axis of oppression to point out if someone's anti-trans masc views are being harmful.

Exactly this. There are unique harms and attitudes that are directed at transmasculine people specifically (eg infantilization, difficulties of procedures over "female" fertility concerns, T being a controlled substance), but they are not an emergent property of existing misandry because no such thing exists. Acting otherwise is a disservice both to transfeminine people and transmasculine people, as it provides an incorrect framework for perceiving any form of transphobia.

hi, i'm a disabled transfem who just paid bills and only has $100 left even though i still need to put gas in my car and help my roommate afford groceries for 3 people. my job is closed for the next 2 weeks due to remodeling so i don't have access to the little bit of income i usually have. i've already been doing very bad and now i'm scared about being able to make the next rent.

my roommate also just paid for me to get a really important tooth extraction which i'm still recovering from so i am already indebted to them enough...
