[Kat shifted her position as she lay on her back, her legs in Conor's lap. She read Gray's Anatomy of the Human Body, 20th Edition, while he scoured the rest of The New York Times. Kat couldn't focus on the book she had long ago memorized. Instead of the structures of the endocrine system, she was thinking of the question she had planned on posing to Conor for the last couple of weeks. She thought he'd say yes, but if he didn't, it could change the dynamic of their relationship irreparably Kat decided it was silly to put it off any longer and lay the open textbook on her chest.]
