Spoiler alert. Certain friends and family members may be receiving one of these in the mail soon.
A mock up layout for a friend's potential start up presentation. They're thinking of pitching dragon's den style a Fantasy Draft for video games, namely League of Legends. This is my mock-up of the site, using Batman characters and actors as stand-ins for real players and users.
The big sign for Music Niagara this year! This bad boy is 8ft long! I'm really please with how this one turned out. Also the third photo is from opening weekend a few weeks ago. Basically I just like the colours in the photo.
The invitation to our gala opening. It turned out pretty nice this year, I think.
I'm really pleased when the little things like invites look so nice when printed. The back is my favourite.
Some of the stuff I've been doing at work. The top are my SHINY NEW BUSINESS CARDS. I feel like an important human now. And the bottom is an ad that will be in the local paper next week promoting a few of the Festivals upcoming pre-season concerts. Fun times!
This is my most recent piece of design work that I can actually show anyone at this point. Itās a simple flyer/insert for the showing this weekend at the Shaw Festivalās Film Series. I decided to pull from the colours I used over the summer for the festival, but also limit them and make them a bit more āredā centric so they feel more film/theatre-esque. If youāre in the Niagara region you should definitely go - Emma Meinrenken is CRAZY talented, and will be playing a bit of music before a screening of āA Late Quartetā
This is a painting from last year, and I know I've posted some photos, but I don't think I ever posted the actual well documented version. And even a year later and I still really like it, which is saying something.
This year's batch of Christmas cards for the co-workers. EDIT: Ooh! This got featured in the Typography tab! I feel so special.
Thanks to the amazing Alex Geddie who came in to impart his magic Photoshop wizarding skills on the class, and this basic photo colourization tutorial I was able to make this! It was a chance to test out the strength of the notes I took from Alex on making layer masks and selections and whatnot - and my own basic Photoshopping skills (Iām really an Illustrator/InDesign kind of gal at heart). So now Iāve got a colour photo of Jimmy Stewart! Hooray! Obviously, as this was my first attempt at this sort of thing so Iām not pro yet, but I thought you guys might enjoy looking at the fruits of my trying to better myself for your sakes. (Yeah and mine too.) What do you think? Are you proud of your T.A? Because Iām proud of you.
Just something I worked on tonight to keep from getting rusty, and trying to learn some new skills in Photoshop. Also posted on my T.A. blog for the benefit of students.
What I'm currently working on. The festival I work for is going to be hosting a fundraising concert in the fall that will be featuring the music from Queen Elizabeth II's coronation. I've been working on putting together an e-vite (top three) and a letterhead (bottom two) on which a typed invitation can be printed for Music Niagara's supporters. I'm quite enjoying this project. It's still got some work to be done, and changes to be made, but for now I thought I'd throw it up for you to see.
An assortment of ads, posters, invites, etc that I've been putting together at my day job working for Music Niagara, a classical/jazz festival in Niagara on the Lake. This year is celebrating 200 years of peace between Canada and the United States and commemorating the start of the war of 1812, so a lot of our materials are being put together to reflect that. Hence the Reds, Cream/Beiges, and Blues. The festival is still on for this weekend and next weekend so if you're in the area, let me know and I can probably get you some free tickets to see a show. Just let me know.

So this is a quick thing I put together quite some time ago for TAG Gallery in St.Catharines, but they're actually just putting it to use now for their historical prints show.
Set of Kaleidoscope lithographs, hand coloured with ink.
A poster and logo design by yours truly for the UofT Art/Art History Programās End of Year party - this year talent show themed!
