AJ/Simon and Dani: Simon is my DG PC (he/him), and Dani (they/them) is his bond--they're queerplatonic partners! I think about them constantly. I don't often draw the darker themes that come with being Delta Green characters; a lot of the stuff I make is just them being silly lol

When Gavrill Vorobyev, a single father of three, is offered a chance to reunite with his children after ten years, he takes it. The catch? He must now live a double life as Agent HROTHGAR, a mercenary for the secret organisation Helvetia that's dedicated to tracking down cosmic horrors beyond this world.
Through betrayal and deceit, heartbreak and loss, Gavrill must be the best father he can be to 19-year-old Hrodwyn, 16-year-old Merethel, and 12-year-old Hygd. But the more he learns about Helvetia's secrets, the more the line between family and work blurs. And when his past, present, and future begin to haunt his children, it may take more than his life and sanity to keep them safe.
Spaarrow Flight is a multimedia (comic x writing fusion) project based off the Delta Green TTRPG campaign I've been in since 2024. It follows my character Gavrill as he tries to deal with the past horrors (his childhood), current horrors (learning how to parent), and future hororrs (cosmic horrors and other horrors from his workplace). For the DG players, it's basically 95% Home scenes. Some are funny slice of life shenanigans! Some are anything but.
And now, it has new cover art!! Sparrow Flight has offiicially come out of hiatus! Updates have begun on Ko-Fi for early access, but you can start reading previously posted stories over on @sparrow-flight, or on the main site where you can join the newsletter for updates. (I made the site myself from scratch except the backend pls check it out ty)
Regular access updates start on 7 March! A comic or short story will then be posted every Saturday/Sunday.

Thumbnail, value sketch, sketch, lines, rough colours, final colours. I used CSP's old mechanical pencil for lines and the default G-pen for colours on one layer! Basically what Minna Sundberg does because her art is gorgeous lol
I've also really been enjoying On-Together! It helps not feel the whole 'soloing a long-term project' thing feel less lonely.
The end is near. Short-hair Gavrill is canon (his hair burnt off). This really is Armageddon.
Surely this isn't a bad omen or whatever, with how Gavrill's mental state has always been proportional to his hair length (too short = insane, too long = depressed), and with how I accidentally predicted the next operation that'll really screw him over personally.
As artists gotta art, I whipped up a new design for him. And as writers gotta write, I went ham with the specifics of how this sad man turned into KFC by a giant fire monster thing. It's really long, so it's under the cut.

He's 73% covered in largely second-degree burns and some third-degree burns (on his back side) but I ain't drawing allat. Skin rendering hard
His second-degree burns (so most of him) will recover just fine; the scarring reflects where he was blasted the most with fire. The scarring is also a mix of his second and third-degree burns cuz I'm too lazy to differentiate them lol (he probably had to get skin grafts from his inner thigh)
He braced himself before he was knocked out by the fire monster, hence the positioning of his scars (arms raised, one side of face turned away)
And then for the rest of combat, bro was lying face-down and was constantly getting roasted. That's why the worst scars are on his back, though his thick denim jacket + cotton hoodie actually protected him pretty well (plus the other agents using the fire extinguisher lol)
The back of his legs and his butt are literally cooked tho. His polyester-blend sweatpants melted all over him
Bro's hair is also literally CHOPPED. Was gonna make him go with a buzz cut but tbh, he has lived such an unhappy and tragic life, the least I could do is let him keep his hair and eyelashes :joy:
Merethel (his son) helped neaten up his hair! The plan is to keep his hair short til his fuzz grows in so that he can grow it out all again at once
I don't know if he'll grow the rest of his right eyebrow and the rest of his beard. I might keep the singed eyebrow tbh but the beard? We'll see!
He got -3 STR as a permanent injury, which honestly barely did anything because he's still at 70% STR LOL. It's less 'permanent injury' and more 'he lost a lot of muscle mass for recovery' plus 'he needs skin release surgery and physiotherapy for contractures'
This is so dumb, but this is probably the one time Gavrill shaves his pits because one side burned off, so might as well do away with the other side y'know HAHAHA

This is from all the way back in Feburary 2024! It was for a character reveal in the Delta Green game I'm in and that revealed happened a few session ago, which is why I'm only posting this now. This lamb mask basically commits identity theft (it changes the wearer's appearance and voice into the target's) and can store up to 7 identites, as per its eyes.
A certain Agent Eve used it to frame Gavrill, my character, for serial murder he didn't commit. Why? Guess you'll have to go to @sparrow-flight where I post short stories and comics about this game!! (And also idk wait about a year because I have like 90 chapter drafts to get through.) It doesn't help that Eve's also partially responsible for the death of Gavrill's family, too...
This was sketched digitally, and then was inked with a dip pen on a bristol board. Colours and screentones are added digitally (where I turned my ink smears into blood lol)

It's about time I officially open my commissions! Job hunting has been really hard for me with how entry-level work in my field is either offshored or replaced (poorly) by AI, and I simply don't have the minimum 2 years of professional work in a specific field jobs ask for fresh out of graduation. So I'd really appreciate any extra work that comes by!

Birthday art for @katastrofish, my dear friend and one of my past players, to whom AJ (their PC) and his doomed friends belong to (very funny to be the cause of the doom and then to draw said doom as a birthday gift)
I thought I was cooked drawing this because I only gave myself 4 days to do so (including today), but surprisingly it took a day less than that. So this is probably my earliest birthday art LOL
AJ (guy in green) is Fish's player character for a Delta Green game I ran some years ago. When his band's concert blows up (literally), it kills 2 of his friends and puts a third, Dani, in a coma. He spends the next 10 years obsessing over the event, stuck in his grief, while working shady jobs to keep Dani on life support.
I've had the idea for this painting for nearly as long as this song/album has been out but just like my previous post, I've only had the time to draw it now. The song fits AJ, and I've always had the vision of golden-lit cracks tracing his scars (he eventually learns to live with his grief = mend his scars with something beautiful = kintsugi WHOAA no way). Also the cracks go through his friends' eyes because they're dead/comatose.
This painting is also meant to his reflection looking at one of those glass/window adverts you can still see through. I have no idea how glass reflectors work and this is my first time drawing them, so hopefully the idea's clear enough! I'm not too happy with the cracked glass part, but close enough. Here's what it looks like without it!
I also made the actual painting on one layer with one brush (the default pen brush) 🗿 idk how I was going to manage layers with the reflections, so I didn't lol. I'm kinda surprised I was able to pull that off. Here's what that looks like, ala 1 screenshot for almost every hour of work!
