The Highlight of the week: Birth by Maite Guerrero
“Water is pure. Water is oxygen. Mothers give birth in the water. The water soothes tears, while bringing joy. Water is pleasure, delight, emotion … holy water. There is nothing to equal the impact of water on us, the water gives us life. We are water.” - with such short and strong description Spanish photographer Maite Guerrero, based in Barcelona, presented her one of the most beautiful and original projects, called “Birth”. Water, as you probably already noticed that, is playing very important role here: it gives us life and creates thousands elements in it everyday.

The Paintings,Watercolours and Pencil Drawings of Michelle Ramin
My name is Michelle Ramin, a visual artist living and working in San Francisco, CA. I’d love to submit my newest body of oil paintings for consideration of publication on Cross Connect. More info below and more work from the series at my website below. I will also be having a solo exhibition at Duplex Gallery, Portland, OR in June (opening June 2) and another at the Pennsylvania College of Technology in July-August 2016.
Michelle Ramin’s work focuses on the phenomenon of the shared human experience. She uses painting to expose the unseen nuances found within gatherings surrounding a central fascination, from mountain vistas to mobile phone screens to the Mona Lisa.
