ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO AN END August 22nd ; plot drop
Because no matter where they take me In death I will survive And I will never be forgotten With you by my side
Everything about the day had gone perfectly, it was all Kate could have hoped for when it came to her sister. This was a day she had a bittersweet feeling about because this officially meant that her sister no longer needed her to by her side. There was a promise she had made to both herself and baby Julia and it was to make sure she protected her with everything she had within her which was something she had fought tooth and nail to do. Now her sister was married with a husband she knew she could trust to do the job about as good as she could. She let herself relax a little a few hours after her conversation with Ryan because the one thing she was looking forward to was this whole thing to be over and the both of them to lead normal lives.
Her hazel hues drifted towards the male in question, taking a sip of her champagne. It was when she realized that Gerard hadn’t come back from his bathroom break which only put her on alert. She set down the flute and drifted through the crowd towards the bathroom area until she heard the sound of a helicopter. Her feet stopping in place as she lifted her head up to look at the sound coming from above. She dropped her head to look around once again, spotting her sister and her husband as everyone stood frozen at the sound. It was noticeable on the look of Scorpion’s faces that something was going down and everyone should be prepared for what was going to happen. She shifted through the crowed, nudging some of them out of her way until she made her way to her sister.
Her eyes lifted up when she heard Isaak Volkov’s voice echoing through the venue. As soon as he gestured towards Julia and Gabriel, a part of her knew what was going to happen. It was when her eyes drifted towards the male across the sea of people. How easy it was to spot those green hues pretty much anywhere. She gave him a small nod, knowing he was on the same page as her. Whatever the Volkovs were doing here, well, it was only bad news from here. The soft gasps echoing through the crowd caused her head to turn to look over her shoulder, noticing each Volkov holding someone the Scorpions loved. They were upping the game, not caring about the civilians that were in the venue because all of this was about revenge.
Blood must have blood.
Her eyes resting on the barrel of his gun and knowing what direction it was aimed at. Before she could even think twice, the brunette moved right in front of her sister, taking the bullet in the center of her chest. It shoved her straight back into her sister’s arms, the ringing inside of her ears making it impossible to hear anything else. She knew her sister was laying her back onto the ground, a few short breathes left the older Montgomery woman. Her eyes trying to focus on her little sister, the woman who had just gotten married and the one she had raised since the moment she was born. Each memory ran through her mind as she tried to breathe through the pain. Another person hit her mind as she laid there. Ryan. The one promise the two of them had made to each other was breaking and there was nothing she could do about it. “Run,” it was all she could mumble out before everything went black and she took her final breath.
