Reminder: Daxam has a very different culture and different sets of values from earth. It's almost medieval. They have monarchy, they have arranged marriages, they have frigginng slavery. How Mon el acts is a reflection of the culture that he grew up in. Remember that Kara was 13 when she got to earth, she had years to adapt. Mon el was an adult already when Krypton exploded, and very much exposed to the Daxamite way of life. What you haters are calling misogynisy is him acting like a Daxamite. He's not perfect, I certainly don't like some things he does- but Kara always calls him out on these things, and he's changing. He's not evil, he's just from a different frigging planet.

Tumblr has this horrible witch-hunt mentality where if you say something even remotely wrong without realizing it, they’ll come after you as if you are the anti-Christ or you committed actual murder. They send death threats and tell people to kill themselves. And they fail to realize that this is not a way of teaching someone. They fail to realize that there are 13 year olds on this site who are still learning, and that this is a way to make people afraid to say anything. Because you’re not educating, you’re attacking. This is extremely toxic and I am shaming every single one of you.
