Goodbye,
So it's finally time. This is my final post on katiefreakinpotter. It may seem like I'm over exaggerating this whole goodbye thing, but I can honestly say I wish I was. This url has been with me since I started blogging in the Summer for 2010. It's a 2 and a half year diary documenting every little detail of anything from personal posts to views on politics to wHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED on whatever movie or show I was watching. The number of things I accomplished under this alias is pretty insane. I can remember each sex riot I participated in; what I felt at the premiere of each episode. I remember planning for both LeakyCon's. I remember my first hate anon. I remember my first tumblr crush. I remember realising it's okay to be attracted to girls, and that it was okay to not have a designated sexuality. I remember liveblogging award shows and debates and the election. And I remember making friends.
I don't really have room (or time) to thank everyone for making my tumblr experience this wonderful, but just know that if you follow me, I am thanking you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.
I leave for Seattle at 8:30 in the morning and It will be the first time I've ever lived out of Georgia. It's a pretty big leap, and it will take a lot of adjusting, but I'm really confident that I'll find my mojo in all of this. Thank you to everyone who messaged me good lucks on my move, I really appreciate it. This isn't like going to college; this is moving as far across the United States as you can, leaving behind a lot. I am leaving behind a lot of people and places that I might not ever see again. It's a part of growing up and I've accepted that, but it doesn't make it any less hard.
Thank you Georgia, for harboring my childhood and watching me become an adult. Granted, I don't really like it here, but you did an okay job of teaching me what I didn't like and giving me a will to change my surroundings into something I do like.
This post went almost nowhere but I think you guys get where I was trying to take it. It's been a hell of a ride, and I'll see some of you over the river, but to most of you guys, thanks for following, have happy lives.
