READ, READ, READ!!!
Congress and the Senate have nothing to do with the vote to keep Net Neutrality. Only 5 people at the FCC get to vote: Ajit Pai, Mignon Clyburn, Michael O'Reilly, Brendan Carr, and Jessica Rosenworcel. Mignon and Jessica plan to vote to keep net neutrality. To defeat the net neutrality repeal, 1 of these 3 men need to change their vote:
Ajit Pai: 202-518-7399
Michael O'Reilly: 301-657-9092
Brendan Carr: 202-719-7305
Please, please, PLEASE contact them! Net neutrality is crucial to what all of us here on Facebook and across the entire internet enjoy on a daily basis. It guarantees equal access to the internet for all! MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD! Please copy and repost!
Let me also add on these numbers. The other numbers I call just seem to not work for me? But when I called Carr and ORielly on this I got to their office voice mail at leastÂ

We have right-wing mediaâs anti-science, anti-reality propaganda to thank for this utter catastrophe.
This isnât about climate and it isnât about Trumpâs base. Itâs about sticking it to the leaders of Europe. Thatâs what gave the Bannonites the edge. That and one other thing. Â Trump is scared. Heâs entering a a widening gyre of political crisis over Russia. Heâs scared and heâs angry and he needs friends. So heâs more and more likely to hug his base â both the most aggressive advisors and the most committed supporters. Heâs trying to bring back Corey Lewandowski, his wildest and most troubling-driving advisor who has the unshakable loyalty and lickspittledom Trump now requires. Indeed, we can take it as a given that as the Russia scandal crisis deepens Trump will become more aggressive and more extreme in his policies both to maintain his emotional equilibrium and reinforce his backing from a shrinking base of supporters. This is as certain as night follows day.
Paris Decision Was Driven By the Presidentâs Rage and Fear
And the conditions to allow for this moment to happen were created by decades of Republicans and their enablers lying without consequence about science.

I was reminded by @explore-blog that Beatrix Potter (born 150 years and one day ago) wasnât just a beloved childrenâs author and illustrator - she was an enthusiastic amateur mycologist. Before she drew Peter Rabbit, she drew mushrooms!
These beautiful illustrations were shared with Skunk Bear by The Armitt, a charming museum/library/gallery nestled in Lake District Natural Park in Northern England.
the best part of that david lynch interview is this:Â
During my one creative meeting with David Lynch, long long long ago, he was also making a rubber mould of a sink.
The author of The Lord of the Rings came up with the story after returning from the Somme.
New Trump web page asks Americans if they want to ax National Park Service, other key land agencies Obvs we want to keep these things and should tell him so.
This is important.
Itâs not a âloopholeâ itâs explicit within the text of the amendment
âLoopholeâ lmfao like itâs a fucking accident, like it wasnât purposefully structured to reclaim and expand a source of free labor
We never outlawed slavery in America. We simply transferred ownership of slaves from individual landowners to the government and large corporations.
Other fun facts about prison labor corporations:
-Federal and state-run prisons usually pay their slaves minimum wage; some states, however, like Colorado, pay $2/hour.
-Private prisons pay $.17-.50/hour. The highest paying private prison is in Tennessee, which pays $.50/hour for âhighly-skilled labor.â
-You think that hasnât affected wages in the US? You think that hasnât removed manufacturing jobs from the economy?
-Companies that contract with private prisons for their slave labor include: IBM, Boeing, Motorola, Microsoft, AT&T, Wireless, Texas Instrument, Dell, Compaq, Honeywell, Hewlett-Packard, Nortel, Lucent Technologies, 3Com, Intel, Northern Telecom, TWA, Nordstromâs, Revlon, Macyâs, Pierre Cardin, Target Stores. Many, many products that say âMade in USAâ were made in prison.
-Private prisons often have quotas with the states, wherein the states contractually guarantee that they will provide a certain number of prisoners to fill the beds of a private prison, and if they donât then they owe the private prison millions of dollars. Iâm not making this up. It happened in Colorado after they legalized weed.
-States have a financial incentive to lock up their citizens.
-All of the above corporations have a financial incentive to see citizens get locked up.
-This is why Jeff Sessions is going after weed. The prison industrial complex needs slaves.
-To the shock of absolutely no one, private prisons have even more disparate racial demographics than federal/state prisons.
-Where do you think they send undocumented immigrants who have been rounded up? Thatâs right, private prisons. Thatâs why so many of them are in the South. So they take immigrants who are earning some kind of comparable wage and paying income tax to the government, and put them in prison where the wages are absurdly depressed and the prison pays virtually nothing in taxes.
-Oh yeah: private prisons pay virtually nothing in taxes. Because they technically manage real estate (prison as housing), they get all sorts of tax breaks and subsidies.
Tl;dr the prison industrial complex removes jobs from the economy, depresses wages, cheats the tax system, and ENSLAVES PEOPLE, usually people of color.
