macaric:
“What, Rebekah died?” he exclaimed, voice breaking as he realized just how pivotal his death was to his family. He had been the cause for their demise and he couldn’t forgive himself for this. He knew he was being extremely sensitive and dramatic but try being in his position - his family turned into immortal beings because of his death. “Of course Esther did,” he sighed, “out of everything that shocks me the least”
“God no, Rebekah is very much alive.” She waved her hand. “Freya I think was her name? Not sure. Fuzzy on the details of that one.” She shrugged still feeling slightly bad for the boy. Maybe someone else from his family was here and could help him out. Though, she hadn’t seen any of them yet so maybe she was going to have to be the one to guide this one, goody. She practically rolled her eyes at her own thoughts. “What shocks you the most then? Still having trouble on the vampire front? I can show you it’s true if you want.”
jessicxwrites:
Elijah looked at who the voice was coming from and he felt a breath escape his lips as he looked at her “Katerina” he said softly. He never expected to see her ever again, especially since him and Nik had sacrificed themselves for the sake of his niece Hope. He cleared his throat and looked down at his drink “what are you doing here?”
Katherine had spent centuries running from her real name, but she’d always let Katerina slide for Elijah. She was almost certain she’d let anything slid for the man in front of her. She tightened her grip on the glass in her hand, refusing to let the emotions overcomer her. Emotions always got her in trouble anyway. “Oh same as you, I suppose. I blinked and then was pulled from hell and here I am. I guess today’s your lucky day.”
macaric:
His eyes widened, why did his siblings become vamp- “oh my god it was because of me,” he whispered, looking down as he felt tears build in his eyes. Pushing them back, he knew he couldn’t cry but if his siblings were subjected to such torture because of him he couldn’t help but feel guilt. “But how is he a werewolf, all of my siblings should be witc- oh my god,” he said, it clicking, “is he not my brother?”
“I mean, technically yes. Your father wanted the rest of the family to never die after loosing you and that dreadful sister of yours.” She shrugged. She felt bad for overwhelming the kid was all of this, but to be fair he’d asked and Katherine wasn’t the type to sugarcoat the gory details. “Well yes, he is. Your mom just had an affair with a wolf at one point and thus, Klaus was born.”
jessicxwrites:
Elijah let out a breath, he was getting a bit tired of dealing with the after effects of peoples stupidity. He was grabbing something to eat at Paddy’s, he wasn’t really paying attention to anyone around him as he drank from his glass “you would think people had common sense to not get injured and go to the hospital, but I have taken care of I don’t know how many in the past 24 hours.”
Katherine was doing her usual mid-day thing, enjoying a bite at Paddy’s and looking for someone to annoy. She really needed to get a hobby but after five hundred years it was a bit hard to let old habits die. That’s when she spotted him. She was certain after she’d sent him to New Orleans she’d never see him again. What wonderful luck she had to be stuck here in this town with Elijah after all this time. “Yes well, people are stupid. Serves you right for working at the hospital.” She made a face at the thought of helping before.
macaric:
He just glared at her, “and how was my brother alive 500 years ago? If I did the math correctly he would be over 500 years old which is impossible,” he explained, knowing she probably already knew this but he was completely confused. “And what do you mean by hybrid? Niklaus is a witch like all of us,” he said, completely unaware of Niklaus’s true parentage. “Wait, are you telling me vampires are real? I know there are people from other universes that have vampires but in mine? I only remember wolves”
“Oh come on, you can’t be that naive, now can you?” It’d been a long while since Katherine had had to explain the whole origin of vampires to someone else, but no time like the present. “Your family is the original line of vampires.” She shrugged, curling a piece of hair between her fingers. “And a hybrid is both a vampire and a werewolf but in order to activate it he needed to kill a vampire, werewolf, and a human. Which is why you’re looking at me here today.” She laughed, looking Henrik square in the eye. “I assure you more than just witches and vampires are real my friend.”
macaric:
He raised a brow as she grabbed his hand, following behind her and wondering if this was a good idea or not. Either way here he was, possibly being lead to his death - again. At her question, he couldn’t help but laugh, “mainly how you look like Tatiana and how my siblings and you are affiliated”
“Oh, the easy questions then. Bummer. I was prepared to be here all night.” She sighed. It was a rather complicated story though, no matter where Katherine started from she was certain he’d have more questions. “I met Elijah about five hundred years ago, give or a take. I loved him, probably more than I’d ever loved anyone else.” She shook her head - Elijah wasn’t the point of this story. “He introduced me to Klaus who manly wanted to use my very human blood to become a hybrid. So I tricked some people, turned into a vampire and spent majority of my life running from both of your brothers.” She looked up at Henrik realizing she probably shouldn’t have told him the last bit. “As for Tatiana, we all come from a wonderful line of doppelgängers. There’s a girl named Elena that’s here who looks just like her too. Not that she’d remember.”
macaric:
“No, I don’t, so some clarification would be nice,” he said before raising a brow. What could his family have done after he died that couldn’t be said here? Either way, he’d relent to her wishes. “I’m off, I was only just trying to open this for a coworker before I left,” he explained, “how do I know I can trust you?”
Katherine nodded, a smile on her lips as she slid off the countertop. “Well this works out nicely then. Come on.” She grabbed the younger man’s hand, practically pulling him from the gallery. She had no idea what he did and didn’t know but judging from his confusion she had a feeling he didn’t know much. “You can’t, not really. That’s what makes it fun.” She shrugged at his question. Leading him to the back alley of the gallery she let go of his hand, leaning against the wall. “There’s a lot. So what do you want to know first?”
Katherine knew she could just waltz into the hospital unnoticed to collect blood bags for her feeding pleasure but where was the fun in that? It’d been a long time since she’d had someone willing to help her out, someone she actually enjoyed spending time with for that matter. Most people in this town she just used to buy time until she could get out of here, but not Wednesday. Something about her reminded her of well, herself and even a little bit of her own daughter - whom she’d never admit she missed. Katherine had too much pride for all of that. And thus, this is how Katherine found herself in the morgue of the hospital. Wednesday sure did have a knack for loving weird and dark things, didn’t she? Katherine couldn’t help but smirk at the thought. “Thanks again for doing this for me, I owe you.” @wednesdayadms
macaric:
His brows furrowed, not liking the fact she knew him yet he had no clue who she was. “Who has told you about me?” he asked, the only thing he could come up with was his siblings - but they had been long dead… right? “Okay, it’s obvious I need to be caught up on things so I’m hoping you’ll catch me up to speed”
“Oh. You don’t know.” Katherine was trying, really trying to be a better person in this place but something was really testing her. She sighed, feeling sorry for the kid, something Katherine didn’t often feel for others. “Fine. But not here.” She looked around at the people in the room. There were way too many people in this room for Katherine to reveal everything she knew about his family and well everything else for that matter. “When are you off work?”
macaric:
He raised a brow as he looked back at the girl - shocked to see Tatiana here. How was she even alive? Maybe she was like him and came back from the dead, it was the only plausible thought that crossed his mind. “Tatia, it’s been too long,” he said with a kind smile, remembering her fondly - though the romance between his brothers and her made him worry.
Katherine bit back a laugh, and shook her head. She hardly ever thought of the other doppelgängers, least of all Tatiana which helped her place who this kid was. “Ah, so you’re Henrick. I’d heard you died.” She moved to sit up on the countertop, and smiled at him. “I’m Katherine though, not Tatiana.” She rolled her eyes, realizing there was clearly a mind altering curse on this town and sighed. “And that’s actually my name. I’m not some crazed person running around with no memories thinking I am someone else. Though there is one of those running around with this town with my face so I’m sure you’ll be just as confused when you run into her too.”
Katherine like usual was bored. There wasn’t much she could do here besides pretend to be Elena but that girl had no memories and even she wasn’t that cruel. Plus, without Stefan in town there really was no need to put on her annoying Elena face anyway. That’s when she spotted him. She could spot a Mikaelson from a mile away, with a grin, she made her way inside Eclipse and straight up to Henrik. She hadn’t the pleasure of meeting this one yet. “Are you who can help me find a piece for my home?” @macaric
buffysvmrs:
Buffy could tell from a mile away that Katherine was a vampire. Not from her universe but a vampire nonetheless. “Trust me, I know you’re all lunatics,” Buffy muttered, taking a sip of her drink, cradling it in her hands as she carried on speaking. “Never met a sane vampire in my life.” That fact was true. Was there even such a thing? “Okay, can’t tell if you’re messing with me or really telling me how you find your evening lunch but either way there’ll be no ‘targets’ on my watch. I’ve slayed vampires for less so… watch that mouth of yours, missy.”
“And a smart one too.” She teased as she turned around to order another drink. Katherine never really got drunk, much to annoyance but it was still always fun to try. “I haven’t either. Something about the longer we’re alive the more insane we get. It’s a cruse really, being this hot and this old.” She shrugged. All talk about her little cruse always brought her back to the reason she was even a vampire in the first place - the original family. Talk about crazy. “Oh, I gave up human blood years ago.” She turned to Buffy and gave her a good hard look. She’d heard stories of slayers over the centuries, never had the pleasure of running into one but Buffy wasn’t quite what she’d pictured. “You know you’re really not that intimidating, right?”
buffysvmrs:
“You know, nights around here are really boring,” Buffy huffed, sliding onto a stool at her favourite bar Thirsty Whale Tavern. “Back in Sunnydale, I’d have slayed at least ten vampires right now. I’m not saying I want the town to be overrun with pasty white lunatics but… a girl needs a hobby to pass the time.” She ordered her usual drink, head resting on her hand as she looked to who was beside her. “What do you do to pass the time? What’s a normal hobby?”
“Tell me about it.” Katherine downed her drink, a smug smile on her face as she looked over at Buffy. “Ouch.” She waved her hand, ordering another shot from the bartender. She had an unusual night off and wanted to have some fun herself. “We’re not all pasty white lunatics.” She pouted, downing the shot and slamming the glass down. “Some of us are just lunatics.” She rolled around in her seat and shrugged. “I really enjoying dancing. Much easier to pick targets when they’re not really paying attention.”
