Hey, I’m sorry for being annoying with my petition. I realized now that I could be potentially ruining people’s fun by pointing out every major flaw this game has. I see now that there’s a time and a place to criticize and doing it right before the game releases is not the move.
I still personally disagree that the 70 mii limit and the lack of a way to share with online friends is in any way “okay” or “fine” or “not a big deal” or even “a good thing actually”. But I’m gonna agree to disagree with y’all and let it be for now because I now don’t want to be the negative nancy ruining everyone’s fun. And literally we been waiting for this game for 10+ years so some people are taking what we’re getting. Also, the world is literally on fire so people are understandably clinging onto any slice of positivity they can get and poopooing on that positivity is definitely a… not great thing atm. I’m sorry for that. As for the lag concerns some of y’all brought up, I completely understand why thats a thing… it’s just that the switch is a bit more powerful than the 3DS and Ive heard that some modders put 250 miis in the game and the game worked fine. BUT, the source is shaky (reddit with no video or pic evidence, ew) so the lag concerns can continue until there is actual video evidence. And I will buy the game if it is proven that the lag concerns are correct (I’m currently not buying the game until the issues I have with the game is fixed) and there’s nothing anyone could do to fix it.
I’m also sorry to anyone that I’ve blocked because of this, I’ve (hopefully) unblocked most of y’all. And I’m also sorry for the deleted comments, that was… really stupid. Both actions are a result of me not being in a state to accept ANY opposite opinions because I felt they were “selfish” or whatever tf.
Anyways, now Im gonna explain why I did all of this and why I have this opinion about the game and why I acted the way I did: I love making OCs and I love making my interpretation of the mii versions of my favorite characters, CCs, celebrities, and loved ones… and the 70 mii limit (ignoring the baby mechanic) is way too limiting for my creative juices and makes me feel trapped as an artist.
I know artists work well with limits, but I can’t work with this… Im sorry. I know this is stupid and some of y’all may potentially make fun of me, but I just can’t… it hurts me.
And as for making multiple islands (one island per account) how I play usually is that I put all my favs, OCs, some loved ones, and myself on one big kitchen sink island and see what happens, and the amount of miis I wanna add is in the hundreds, plus the babies they could have, plus any future OCs I wanna make. And separating them by theme per island and keeping track of all that + a potential unmedicated ADHD brain + my form of autism = disaster for me.
So that’s the reason why I made the petition in the first place and blazed it, because I was so hurt by this that I felt I had to do something about it. I had to aim my strong emotions at something and get some control of myself and the situation I was given, so I made that petition to hopefully help me and others with this issue. But turns out, Im in the minority and at first… I was confused by this. But again, I learned that because we’ve been waiting for 10+ years for this game that people are taking what they’re getting. And I will admit, it is a full game unlike AC:NH where it barely had any features at launch, so I still hopeful they can address these issues in a future update or dlc. But AGAIN, they probably got understandably defensive because I was being sensitive and raining on people’s parades. So ya, I’m sorry.
As for the people who are just completely fine with this feature whatsoever and think it’s actually like a good thing and you aren’t just taking what you are given because you waited 10+ years or you’re not concerned about lag…
Just… try to think about how others might play the game instead of just your own gameplay? Please? You don’t even have to change your own gameplay, you don’t HAVE TO add a lot of miis to the game, you can add 70 miis and that’s it… that’s fine! Just remember to think about other people who might feel limited by this limit, ok?
Also, sharing stuff with my switch friends sounds really cool… but admittedly… it isn’t as big of a deal as the mii limit thing. The items sharing thing is a slightly bigger deal, but I can deal for now. Just wanted to kill two birds with one stone with that petition.
TL;DR: yall are valid, let’s agree to disagree on the mii limit thing and mii/item sharing thing.
PS; Ive deleted the petition post until further notice. If anyone wants it back, feel free to comment, @, and beg me to bring it back.
For now, it seems that the community doesn’t need it. And that’s ok.
