Yoooooo what's up? I know it has been a very long time since I posted something, but I finally got a kick to write something out again. I tried to make this just Bakugou x Reader, but if I did use specific pronouns, sorry in advance for not labeling it. I hope you all are doing wonderful, and it's great to at least get my gears going on another short story. Have a wonderful day y'all :D
Warning: Swearing (Ya know, my usual ;D) And sorry if there is any errors, I'll try and correct them as I notice them!!

Bakugou slammed the door on his way out as he headed out to train in the gym. You had been assigned to him as a partner for patrols on what seemed to be a whim about how your quirks and skills could benefit you both out on the field. Though all you had proven to him was that you were frustrating to work with. While he was quick to react and reacted with force, you were slower, more deliberate and stealth based. He hated that every single thing he did seemed to push an rebuttle out of you about how that wouldn't work instead of your plans. You always seemed to dodge his straight forward attacks for something more quiet based, and something that wouldn't give him his flashy look.
He wouldn't admit that you had saved his ass on multiple occasions now, or that you were incredible smart, maybe even more strategic than he was. You weren't what he was looking for, but he knew he needed you to at least some extent on certain missions and tasks that were being appointed to you two. He also hated that you would always smirk immediately after proving him wrong, and it was your own way of being cocky. He felt like just being around you made him lose his edge, and he didn't know what to do.
The latest argument you two were just having was regarding a new assignment where you two had to go in quietly and capture the plans of the villains that were making moves to cause an unknown attack. You couldn't be caught at the scene, and thus his quirk was basically useless. He had slammed the door on you once he realized he was losing the argument and had to get away before he aid something cruel. In all reality, he was scared to hurt you. He never wanted to admit that he loved the way that you looked at him, even if it was that stupid cute smirk on your face that you gave him. He didn't want to admit that he loved that you touched shoulders with him each time you two would spy on a hideout on a rooftop above. He hated that he didn't know how you truely felt back towards him since you were great at consealing the emotions on your face so easily. It was driving him nuts.
He made his way into the gym, going straight for the weights as he started his reps. He soon heard the door reopen somewhere behind him, and your very faint, almost silent steps walking his way. You were always silent except when you relaxed, and that's when you would walk on your heels, giving yourself away so you wouldn't scare anyone.
"Bakugou..." You called out gently to him, but he completely ignored your advances. You let out a frustrated sigh, pushing your hair out of your face annoyed. "Look, I'm not trying to piss you off. I can't even use my quirk either. I'm just trying to make sure we get what we need without getting caught lurking. That's the last thing we need since they can always change things arond last minute on us. I just... I want to understand why you don't like me so much..." Your voice wavered on the last part, and his heart clenched from the pain in your voice. He froze his workout, thinking for a second. Did you really think that he didn't like you? He dropped the weight down on the ground, still not facing you as he spoke quietly.
"It's not that I don't like you. You just... frustrate me. You do things differently than I do and it's annoying because..." He froze again, trying to make himself not sound weak; but he knew he had to be honest with you at this point to prove what he meant. "Because you make me feel vulnerable. Not just... With the stealth shit. I mean, you make my heart feel.... Weird." He finally got out, and he heard you stutter on your breath.
"I... Make your heart feel... Weird...?" You repeat gently and he lets out a frustrated growl. He just felt like you were mocking him at this point.
"Yes! Okay?! I don't know how to explain but you just... Do. Okay?! You know what, forget I said anything at all." He turns to leave, thus facing you; and the sight of you shocks him enough to freeze midstep.
Your cheeks were bright red, and you looked shy and vulnerable yourself. He didn't know how else to explain it besides... cute. You look so fucking cute in the moment he doesn't know what to say. So instead he starts walking towards you, making you back up against the cusioned wall.
"So it seems, I'm not the only one that feels this way...?" He asked with a unnerving new softness in his voice, and your blush deepens more. He tsked when you look down oh so shyly, and he gently lifts your head back up. He leans forward, inching his lips closer to you. "I got to admit, I like this sight of you. Unnerved and... More you. Not the demeanor you put on for missions." He's onto you at this point and you are left with nothing else to do but the obvious. You don't know how to express your feelings for the first time ever.
You quietly say "Fuck it." Under your breath, and lean into a kiss, softly caressing his lips. He instantly retaliated back, catching your lips once more when you pull away slightly.
When you do finally pull away, his own cheeks are tinted slightly red to somewhat match you, and he shows his own smirk. "So... I think we should talk more about this plan of yours."
