Day 2 - Primary Consumer (of Goldnestlings, among other things)

The deceitful hornback (Tubercauda decepta) is a heavy bodied hornback that feeds opportunistically on the leaves of many different species of low-growing herb. The deceitful hornback, unlike other members of it's clade, is not venomous, instead using it's 'stinger' to lay eggs in the tissues of woody plants.

Day 5 - Scavenger/Decomposer

Snossers (Cinerivittatus foetens) are the among the most common representatives of the most basal living hexaped clade. Solidly omnivorous, these adaptable creatures will eat nearly anything they come across, be it bugs, berries, carrion, or trash.

As implied by the epithet 'foetens', Snossers secrete a sticky, foul smelling oil from the end of their tail when threatened.

I was honestly a bit nervous to draw and post this one, because it's such a deep rooted and genuine issue I struggle with. It's a thing I wish could be fixed in some way, but I feel pretty comforted it resonated with so many others too
