Like sorry but I don't subscribe to the "everyone is shitty and humanity is inherently cruel" mentality even if that makes me a "naive hippie" lol. Yes throughout history and into today human beings have done and are doing terrible things and yes our society as we know it is held in place by dozens of oppressive and cruel structures. But individually there have always been and will always be people fighting against those structures for the betterment of others. So you can go ahead and be a "realist" if you want but who exactly are you helping? How are you helping to dismantle what you claim to hate? This mentality is a cowardly one at its foundation because if humanity is supposedly inherently bad, it isn't worth saving, which conveniently lets you off the hook.
