Look, I'm AMAB, I'm not exactly "femmenine" looking, I'm agender, I'm asexual, I'm probably aromantic as well, I'm not sure, I'm definitely not straight, but also...
Women 🩷
I've got an idea, which I'm pretty sure is not mine, I read it before somewhere. Either way, I want to share it and maybe write a story about it in the future. Feel free to use this idea if you please.
Two friends, a girl and a boy, body swap via unknown means. The boy is thrilled to be a girl now, specially his best friend who he has admired since ever, while the girl is actually living through hell as a boy. He adapted rather easily, no one seems to notice any significant difference and, while it's not perfect, his life as her is well kept together. Meanwhile, she's not doing so great, she hates every waking moment, she can't adapt to the boy life, she hates the feeling, hates the body, hates the treatment she gets from everyone, she even comes to hate the name she now has to go by.
She starts to build resentment towards her friend and they drift apart. Until she finally comes out to his parents, although the way she does it doesn't clarify the part where they body swapped, so they believe she's trans.
And they are supportive of her and when she starts to transition the two protagonist finally reunite and the boy explains that actually, he always wanted to be a girl but never felt the confidence to say anything, so he would project his desires onto her (his girl friend) and try to live through her. But when they changed bodies he stopped trying. And, of course, she, having being perceived a girl her whole live, didn't have the tools to live perceived as a boy like she did.
And just as they amend their friendship, they switch back into their proper bodies. They are no longer a boy and a girl, but two girls with an unbreakable bond that will last a lifetime.
I think it was a Disney Channel movie, but instead of the boy being trans, he was grieving the death of his mother.
It's late afternoon in Metropolis, in the laboratories of Luthor Corp, a young Clark and Lex are just finishing some experiments.
"Alright! I think that's enough for today." Said Lex, quite pleased with himself. "While we're yet to find the upper limit to your physical strength, we've at least determine that your senses are beyond impressive. Perfect eyesight, perfect hearing, perfect smell." Lex was looking at his charts, looking for anything that he might miss. "Tomorrow I'd like to make some field experiments. I want to see your speed and jumps, so bring your running shoes."
"Thank you again Lex," responded Clark. "I couldn't have done this without ya."
"Don't bother, Kansas. Just be on time tomorrow."
Clark was taking off the wires that Lex suctioned all over him and put back on his shirt and glasses, which raised a question in Luthor he couldn't withhold, "tell me something, why the glasses? We've clearly stated that you don't need them."
"They have UV filter" Said Clark.
"Nonsense! The sample you gave me indicates your body is immune to the cell damage provoked by low UV radiation."
"it's not for safety, I just like how everything looks this way."
Lex looked at the young reporter, curiosity in his eyes, "what do you mean?"
"The UV light, Lex, I can see it."
Suddenly a spark ignited inside of Lex, his mind going a million per hour, thinking about all the implications, all the possibilities. "Alright, forget the field." Lex broke the silence, "I want you here, tomorrow we're going to see the limits of your sight. IF there is any."
Lex went back to his papers while Clark was looking at him, just taking in how Lex's mood had changed all of a sudden. "Remember what I tell you when I asked you for help?" Asked Clark.
"About how you didn't trust me and how I embodied all the evils of capitalism that the communists won't shut up about? Yes, of course." Responed Lex.
"I also said that I think you're the most brilliant scientist that ever existed. This is what I mean, Lex. Something in you just lighted up, like a kid in Christmas. I see it every time you run experiments, every time I interviewed you and asked you to explain one of your new inventions. If only you didn't waste it on war."
Lex chuckled, "well, let me tell you something, Kansas. In this world, that part of me you like so much only gets to exist because I've used it for war. My love for science, my experiments, they require funding. Lots of it."
"I think you have more than enough already."
"Yeah? Well, we'll see about that another time."
And with that, Clark left back to his apartment, ready to finish another busy day in Metropolis.

Would y'all be interested in a noir style Batman fanfic where he has not only both his parents but also he doesn't have a secret identity?
¿Les interesaría un fanfic de Batman estilo Noir donde, no solo tiene tiene a sus dos padres con vida, sino que además no tiene una identidad secreta?
I really don't want to be nitpicky, because the story is really good and this really doesn't matter but "Para llamar mi propia estrella" does not mean "To call a star my own".
It actually means "To call my own star". If you wanted that sentence in Spanish, you'd say "Para llamar una estrella mía".
I guess the confusion went with what's subject and what is object. When we learn another language, we're told that the order is fixed, but that's just not the case in Spanish nor is it in English.
The taught order would be "A Star to call my own" or "una estrella para llamarla mía". The -la at the end of the verb is doing an implicit it, "...to call it my own". But you can rearrange the sentence to verb + subject + object and keep making sense. But what they did was verb + object + subject. Which you could also do, but it'd look like this:
"Para llamar mía una estrella"
The word "own" becomes redundant and it vanishes. Keep it and you change the meaning. And the word "una" is missing too. That article is necessary to separate the subject from the object.
Other alternatives:
"Para llamar a una estrella mía".
"Para llamar a Estrella mía". in this case, Estrella becomes the name of something or someone.
"Para llamar una estrella la mía". The article la here comes with the implicit meaning that it's common place to have a star, but the protagonist doesn't have one and the story is about how they get their own. And I say they, because the gender of the word "mine" in Spanish refers to the object in question and not the person to whom it belongs. "La estrella es mía", "el sol es mío".
"Mi propia estrella para llamar". My own star to call. Pretty much the same implicit meaning in both languages.
"Para llamar mía propia una estrella". I said it was redundant. But you can use redundancy to make emphasis. It matters, like really matters to the protagonist that they can get a star to call theirs.
But that's the thing, we say "mine own", not "my own". "Own" is a word for emphasis.
Ash pondered his literary predicament. “Was Ash truly like Fire? was Goh truly like Ice? Would that be OK?”
Normally I'd assume Kelsey and Stacks would never encourage destroying a book. But considering what book it is, I would say it's thematically appropriate
I have that book but I have never read it. Is it that bad?
I'm thinking on putting this account into hibernation. I don't want to be in social media anymore, but I don't want to lose the url.
Not sure when's gonna happen, but I think it's inevitable.
