Hunter watched the female, and despite the whole time they had been apart and why, he couldn’t help but keep a smile on his face. As she spoke about the cloaking, he nodded his head. It was something he would do as soon as possible. The idea of her family turning up to destroy all her plans and hopes sat heavy on Hunter’s soul. “No… if they thought it would help, they would do it… but I wouldn’t let them get to you..” he admitted.
“I know that… and I would have taken a whole lot of torture before telling them anything I knew… plus I can handle wolves… magic is a wonderful thing if you’re in a precarious situation..” he teased. As she continued, he looked around others in the hospital before back to the female and nodded. “Yeah… perhaps you can tell me what’s going on with this town… it seems like I missed something big..” he questioned - of course he was happy to not be called up in something big with his kids.

Kay was more than a little touched by the words, and didn’t bother pointing out that she’d never want Hunter to put himself between her family and her - that wasn’t going to lead to anything good, only him getting hurt. “I wouldn’t be surprised if they did business with witches anyway, anything to get them ahead.” There was very little that she’d put past the Doyle family when it came to something they wanted.
“Don’t even joke about that,” she sniffled, rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand. “Do you know what it’d do to me to find out they ever did that to you?” With his agreement she got up, offering her arm. “You’re not going to believe me, but to make a long story short the town was invaded by mythical creatures. Like medusas and someone said something about bigfoot, and like...everything you’ve ever heard of.”
