How to add IDM extension in Google Chrome?

In case you don’t find the file IDMGCExt.crx just look for IDMGCGExt.

Enable the extension named IDM Integration Module and restart the browser.

If you are using incognito mode in Chrome browser, you will need to do one small thing more and enable the incognito checkbox in the extensions tab.

Bypass the restriction

In some parts of the world, IDM extension is marked as malicious. There are a few reasons behind it but we have a way to bypass this restriction in a few seconds and get going with the extension installation.

In the program files for to IDM folder look for the integration extension file named IDMGCExt.crx.

Extract the contents of the file to a folder on your desktop or someplace where you can write data. You can extract the files using WinZip or WinRAR.

Copy the folder of extracted files to the IDM folder in program files.

Enable the developer mode on the extension page On the Chrome browser.

Click “Load unpacked extension” and navigate to the folder of extracted files. You will be good with the IDM extensions now.

5 Leave the trap all night and check if you caught something the next day. If you have not captured anything, move the trap to a different location until you find the right place.
