❝ if i met my seven year old self today, what would i tell her? would i warn her of the future, of the bad things yet to come? or would i leave her be naive, to keep having fun? because my seven year old self, believed the world a perfect place, would she recognise herself . . . ? ❞ pippa kensingtion
“i know it’s not good for my teeth but i haven’t had a lollipop in ages . . . so sue me if my dental health is put on the back burner for now,” pippa spoke, before placing the strawberry flavoured sweet back into her mouth, her thumb, pointer and middle fingers daintily holding the stick. philippa was usually very good with her health, avoiding deep fried foods, excessive sugar and soda ( unless it had been mixed with alcohol ) almost religiously, and it was all to blame on her mother being a nurse, and practically instilling fear during her childhood over anything that wasn’t healthy. but one lollipop wasn’t going to kill her. “do you want one? i have more in my purse and i’d be very happy if you took at least one off my hands.”
being in the line of business kaden was, he was extremely good at knowing his surroundings, the people in said surroundings and the nearest exits out ever building he ever stepped foot in. he didn’t see a place and think about how pretty it was, all he saw were the blueprints that his mind created the second he walked in the door. the same trait was the reason he’d been able to pinpoint the person out of the entire crowd, the same trait that knew she was following him around. “you don’t? are you saying you find me attractive, pippa?” kaden teased, wiggling his brow at her before a grin began painting it’s way onto his features. “i promise i can afford it, and that i’ll make your time with me worthwhile.” the male retorted, glancing down at her as a small chuckle fell from his lips. “you should have told me you were a whiskey person before now, i’ve got an unopened bottle of rather expensive stuff sitting at home because it’s something that should be shared.”
reading people was pippa’s thing; figuring out what they liked and how they react to certain things was what she was good at. she needed to be, or else she would’ve been caught ages ago. “if i answer that question, i’m afraid it’ll go to your head and inflate your ego even further,” she teased, winking in his direction before tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear. “i’ll hold you to that promise, don’t you worry,” she spoke, glancing once more at the woman in green, seeing that she only got more uncomfortable with the way the two were acting. “you should never trust anyone who isn’t a ‘whiskey person’, there’s something fucking wrong with them,” she pointed out, thanking the bartender and picking up her glass, taking a dainty sip, “is that your way of telling me that you want to take me home? very smooth kaden.”
i have rehearsals tonight but i’ll try to get replies, a starter and wanted connections out by tonight - since tomorrow i have no wifi because we’re changing our ISP. someone hold me i might die.
the only thing kaden wanted to do was have a good time, to let loose a little bit without having anything else to worry about. but one small mistake caused him to have to worry about someone following him around. yes, he could have very easily strung the person along and went for them, but he didn’t want to have to deal with that now, nor did he want to have to deal with that in the future, so he knew he had to get them to leave him alone. whatever means necessary. “take a look at the girl three seats over, green dress. been following me around since i got here.” he huffed, rolling his eyes in a playful manner. “maybe. depends on what else you want from me as payback.” kaden retorted, his brow raising a brow as he felt her grab his hand, the smirk pulling on the corners of his lips once more before he pulled her closer to him. this was a decent start, and once glance back to the girl in the green told him that it was already beginning to work as she shifted in her seat uncomfortably. “alright babe, what can i get you to drink?”
at his words, pippa’s eyebrow raised slightly and she waited for a few seconds before looking over his shoulder and following his directions; sure enough her eyes landed on the woman in the green dress, obviously looking at kaden with a purpose. she let out a short chuckle before averting her gaze, “well, i don’t blame her,” she flirted, the words easily slipping past her lips without hesitation, before grinning, “my services don’t come cheap, love.” it was effortless, the way she spoke flirtatiously with such conviction with no regard for any consequences that might happen but then again, that’s why she was so good at what she did. “whiskey, neat. the finest one please.”
the world around her slows to a s t a n d s t i l l , her eyes trained on the sky above. she’d been amazed at the way you could see the stars, unlike how it was in moscow or lillehammer, the city always drowning out the stars and the city noises interrupting her thoughts . she doesn’t notice anyone getting nearer to the bed of the truck she’d taken up residence in for the better part of an hour, and she turns the s e c o n d they make a small sound, “god, you scared me half the death.” she exclaims, “i’m just trying to look at the stars, and you’re sneaking up on people like that, give a girl some warning, geez.”
as a child, pippa would always be prompted to gaze at the stars whenever she got the chance. her mother would always tell her stories about the stars and she’d grown to view them as a sort of inexhaustible source of magic. of course, now, she didn’t have enough time to just sit and stare at the sky, since she was always on the move. so when she spotted a woman sitting in the bed of a trunk, doing what pippa loved most as a child, she was immediately drawn to her, a small smile on her face. she wasn’t fazed when the other got startled, and she just tilted her head slightly, “i’m sorry, i didn’t want to startle you hun.”
the driver works out his frustration in quick jabs, his body dodges in turns as he rounds the punching bag, each punch going deeper than the previous one. if he keeps this up, chances are he’ll fracture the metacarpals in his hands ( he’s learned a long time ago with his father that those are the most painful fractures one can have ) – but he doesn’t care. david’s breathing is heavy as he continues his round & the sweat drips from his forehead onto a shirtless torso. the male has learned there’s only so much mess he can get away with, but he’s trying to work out his hangover, practically expel it from his body. he stops slightly as another figure approaches and a bandaged hand brushes some wet hair away from his eyes. “i have a headache that’s killing me.” punch. “you wouldn’t happen to have some pills on you, right? maybe some aspirin, maybe some xanax.” a humorless chuckle is followed by another punch. “that would be fucking a, if you had ‘em.”
morning workouts were something pippa had managed to work into her everyday life. between work at the firm and the syndicate, it was difficult to work in anything, so she’d been pretty proud of herself when she’d managed to. upon looking at the blonde, you wouldn’t think that she’d be the one who liked even lifting a finger, let alone box, but growing up with three older brothers and a father who had a passion for the sport influenced you to some degree. her hair was damp after having washed it, her bag slung over her shoulder as she made her way toward the exit, only to stop when she heard the other man’s voice. pippa chuckled at his quip and she nodded her head, “i always have asprin on my person . . . never know where you’ll end up after a night out,” she admitted with a shrug, digging into her bag and pulling out the box, holding in between her index finger and thumb, “you should drink some water though, might be dehydration that’s the culprit.”
okay lmao i was meant to do a couple more replies and put up pippa’s wanted connections but i ended up falling asleep. i’ll do more stuff tomorrow morning i promise!
if anyone knew kaden, they knew that he wasn’t the ‘relationship’ type, meaning that when someone he didn’t even know was pretty much stalking him as an attempt for him to ‘magically’ fall for them and ask them out, he had to put an end to it. however, him being the person he was, that meant he was going to do it in a way that was fun and entertaining to him. after a few seconds of thinking, he quickly made his way over to someone he knew, wrapping his arm around their shoulders as his infamous smirk pulled on the corner of his lips. “i need you to pretend to be my significant other for a few, got it?” he asked, making it seem like he was talking about something else completely. “i might have someone following me who thinks they have a chance with me and i want them to leave me alone. i’ll buy you drinks or something if you go along. you in, or out?“
when she was out trying to have fun, getting together with someone was the last thing on pippa’s mind. sure, she liked flirting with desperate men and making out with strangers wasn’t a foreign thing to her, but they weren’t what she needed to do to have fun; drinking, listening to music and basking in the heavy feeling of desperation around her, now that was fun. so, when an arm went around her shoulders, pippa’s eyes immediately rolled and a small huff escaped her lips, preemptively becoming annoyed with the situation, but when the familiar voice spoke, a smirk came to her lips and her eyebrow raised slightly, “is that so?” she hummed, looking over at him, “you think drinks are enough payback for me?” pippa teased, not hesitating to look the part of kaden’s significant other, grabbing his hand with her slender fingers and grinning brightly, before glancing at any of the onlookers.

TRIGGER WARNINGS: mention of prostitution, death, drugs, alcohol and guns.
☾ —— have you met philippa ‘pippa’ kensington, the twenty-seven year old female that looks a lot like margot robbie? she has been in the syndicate as a distraction for six years now and is known around as the femme fatale, because she is alluring & gregarious, as well as egocentric & sly. not just a gang banger, enchantress is also a lawyer. // mickey, 19, she/her & utc+1.
okay so little missy came from a fucked up family; her mother worked as a prostitute and at one point, she didn’t have enough money to buy her contraceptive pills so she couldn’t really work but she had to?? to get the pills?? so she went out a couple of nights in a row without the pills and lo and behold, she became pregnant w/ pippa. she really didn’t want to keep her bc she couldn’t work anymore and she definitely couldn’t take care of her daughter, so she tried drinking lots and taking some drugs too, hoping that she’d lose the child but instead pippa was born prematurely and during the first couple of months in her life, had to stay in the hospital due to problems in her lungs. this was better for her bc her mother up and left and left her in the care of the nurses.
one particular nurse named sharon kensington ( y’all seeing where this is going ) took pity on the small, blonde baby, who had no one in this world and ended up adopting her into her already quite large family. she already had three sons and when she brought philippa home, they were actually more than ecstatic to have a new baby sister, as was sharon’s husband.
pippa grew up with problems in her lungs, having to go through a couple of operations before she was even six years old, but due to the kensington’s care, she grew up into a healthy and happy little girl, who never found out about her mother and never found the fact that she was the only blonde one in the family strange
albeit growing up with three boys, pippa was a total girlie girl, always going into her mother’s closet and wearing her heels and picking out expensive jewellery. still, she loved all sorts of sports and even played soccer and hockey when she was in school.
when she turned twenty, a woman showed up on their doorstep and it was as if pippa was looking into a mirror - O SHIT IT WAS MAMA. she was a changed woman with a job in which she didn’t risk her life and a roof over her head and was ready to meet her daughter. pippa ( not being dumb ) figured out this woman’s angle and was turned her down, not even learning her name bc why do so after twenty years. lmao you’re not learning her name either bc why would you need to?
pippa didn’t tell her parents or brothers that she had met their biological mother but finding out she had been lied to for her whole life affected her quite negatively — she was a very good student & that didn’t really change, but during her evenings, she would go to bars and clubs, find men who were slightly intoxicated and very attracted to her ( bc lmao she’s attractive to everyone lbr ) and she took advantage of their states to steal from them. pippa was very good at it and she did it for a whole year before to her horror, her brothers all ran into her doing her thing one night and told their parents about what she was doing whOOPs. they finally explained what really went on and she figured that she didn’t want to end up like her mother, so she continued school, but her skills were picked up by the syndicate and she still did her thing on the down low.
she is the epitome of a distraction; beautiful, flirtatious and gregarious, people flock to her to enjoy her company and it allows her to do her job well. she also isn’t afraid to get down and dirty if the need arises and is known to have been in a couple of fights.
pippa is not into the whole relationship thing; cheesy i know but she just doesn’t like to be tied down and views significant others as more of a keychain, rather than something to be proud of. but that doesn’t mean her opinion won’t change ( wink wink hint hint )
that’s it for now !! but i may add more lmao. for now come to me with your wonderful bbes <3
