GRACE
The Grace of God given to us through Jesus Christ changes lives!
âAs for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins.â Â Ephesians 2:1
... without Christ you are DEAD
â remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.â Â Ephesians 2:12
If you SEPARATE from Christ, you have nothing to anchor your soul to
People that donât know Christ are FOREIGNERS and instead of trying to speak their language, we yell what we believe at them
People without Christ are HOPELESS - there is nothing outside of Christ that you can permanently anchor your soul in
WITHOUT GOD you have no peace, no assurance, no hope - apart from God everything is impossible
âBut because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved.â Â Ephesians 2:4-5
If you are not walking in freedom then you are probably not walking with Jesus
When youâre alive spiritually and together with Christ you can weather the storm
            ALIVE & TOGETHER >>> CITIZENS
âConsequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with Godâs people and also members of His household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.â Â Ephesians 2:19-21
âHe came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.â Â Ephesians 2:17
He preached peace and because of peace we can have hope!
He doesnât always remove you from a situation but he places himself in  OUR lives to give us HOPE!
âAnd in Him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.â Â Ephesians 2:22
Dead, Separate, Foreigners, without Hope, without Christ <<< Alive, Together, Citizens, Hope, In Christ
âAll this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.â Â 2 Corinthians 4:15
So whatâs your next step?

GRACE
#1. Grace covers our unbeliefÂ
Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, âThey have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we donât know where they have put him!â  John 20:1-2
#2. Grace reminds us that we are not alone
So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb. Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in. Then Simon Peter came along behind him and went straight into the tomb. He saw strips of linen lying there, as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesusâ head. The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen. Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead) Then the disciples went back to where they were staying. Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesusâ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot. They asked her, âWoman, why are you crying?â âThey have taken my Lord away,â she said, âand I donât know where they have put him.â  John 20:3-13
#3. Grace allows us to understand Jesusâ desire for us
At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus. He asked her, âWoman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?â Thinking he was the gardener, she said, âSir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.â Jesus said to her, âMary.â She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, âRabboni!â (which means âTeacherâ). Jesus said, âDo not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, âI am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.ââ Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: âI have seen the Lord!â And she told them that he had said these things to her.  John 20:14-18
