H A I R J O U R N E Y 👩🏻‍🎤 My current hair color has taken me 5 months to lighten to this level. I've always dyed and cut my own hair. Before I got the hang of things, I used to fry my hair in high school and ended up cutting it off when my hair began to break. The process of growing it out took 5 years. I'm glad to be in a position where I can have fashion colors in my hair for work. It's become apart of me and I can't imagine wearing my natural color. We lost another significant member of the rock community in Linkin Park's, Chester Bennington, front man this week. My heart is broken. I found metal and rock n roll in my adolescent years. Music changed my life at an early age and to lose talents like Chris Cornell and David Bowie is devastating. But it reminds me of how fragile life is. The cultural impact these acts have on young metal heads is unquantifiable. I'm shook but reminded the importance of balance. I would like to honor these rock pioneers and tribute this post to my favorite living legends.
