Competition prep
Coming back from a hip problem the last few weeks, testing out squats. Worked up to 385X1 which is hopefully going to be my opener at the meet. It felt okay but a little bit of a struggle. Dropped down and crushed 8 singles with 365! Hoping for a PR total at the competition, with a 190 kg squat, 110 bench and 205 deadlift. December 14th Gold's gym Montreal! Can't wait!
Training November 25th.
Heavy squats today. worked up with
135x6, 135x6, 225x4, 275x4, 315x3, 345x2, 365x2(Belt) 385x2, 415x
Knee has been hurting a bit the last few days, but the 385x2 felt great, so i went for the PR 415, and my technique was shit. Got it most of the way back up, but my knee came in too far about halfway up and i buckled. Ended the workout with some leg presses, working at staying slow, and doing the whole range of motion.
330x8, 330x8, 330x10, 420x5, 420x5, 420x3, 510x3, 510x3. Leg presses felt good, but my knee was really acting up so i called it there, stretched and went home. Hoping to improve on that squat before December 14th competition, but I also need to really watch the right knee and make sure I don't agitate it even more.

BU powerlifting
Still working on preparing for a competition december 14th. Current PR's are a 410 squat, 250 bench, and 440 deadlift. Aiming to hit 425, 255, 460. The prep is going great but it is hard to focus on it all while working on final assignments and exams at university. This competition is just a gateway to provincials, so my goal is to hit all 9 attempts, and then go for broke on January 25th at provincials.
Big and strong or small and weak. It’s your choice.
Make excuses all you want, but really... It's all a choice you have to make
Competition prep going great, despite the stress of exams and final assignments... Fuck Stress, bench press
One day, I'd love to lift in the cage
“The iron never lies to you. You can walk outside and listen to all kinds of talk, get told that your a god or a total bastard. The iron will always kick you the real deal. The iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch black. I have found the iron to be my greates friend never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go but 200 pounds is always 200 pounds.”

Varsity off-seasons have mostly all started, and that means athletes are starting to hit the gym. I've got a lot more lifters that I'm working with now, and it feels great! Four of us right now are working towards competition in montreal on December 14th A lot of progress has been made, and a lot more progress is yet to be made! Looking forward to what the next few months bring for us!.
