Welp, Finally got Kim’s bike put back together. Takes a certain kind of girl willing to work till her hands and nose are black with grease.  Hours upon hours of scraping off old gaskets, cutting new ones, lapping valves, honing cylinders, adjusting clearances, replacing damper rings, stealing the cam chain from a spare engine, stripped bolts, cut fingers, frustration, and beer.  We’re now at the end of the tunnel.  Need to do the timing,  Fill the tank, And hope to the gods of twisty roads that she starts. I think I do it to reminisce with myself I think I do it out of a boredom habit The same way one turns on a TV set when there’s nobody to talk to, Chasing the answers to questions unsolved. A stubborn child cannot accept ‘no’ as a valid answer They mold it into their own version of why it cannot be. A selfish flaw, it is.
