Statement
The popularity and marketability of modern art has created more kinds of audience groups and public opinion. Sensitive topics and controversial creation media increase the exposure of art, which could brought it many controversial voices, and make it possible to become a public topic for a period. The denial and contempt for the rules of the social rights system is one of the most direct ways of expressing rebellion in art. Marcel Duchamp deserved to be the pioneer figure. His work Fountain completely ignored the elegance of the on-shelf-art, that calls such the rude items like urinals as art. This incident was supposed to be criticized by various art critics at that time. The sexual cues expressed by Quan and the provocation of word games did not seem to be able to be penetrated by other members of Duchamp’s independent artist organization committee. It is no wonder that his directors refused to show the show at the 1917 Independent Artists Exhibition.
In fact, the rebellious art has existed since the earliest history of art. Historically, the birth of every new faction has been to varying degrees of innovation in previously existing values. This innovation may be gentle and inherited--- for example--- Georges Seurat and Paul Signac created the technique of "separation" and formed Pointillism on the basis of Impressionism' s experiments of color and light, which is also the most representative technique in New Impressionism. And sometimes rebellion is radical, such as Dadaism that come with the revolutionary spirit.
In contemporary art, rebellion has become a common way of expressing art. Among them, ‘sexual suggestion’ occupies an important position. Sarah Lucas likes discussing about sex and identity in her work, such as Nature in 1994 and Octopus Spam Plinth in 2015. I gain inspiration about rebellion from her work because I found that directly sex suggestion always give audience attention and make them think about it.
In my last work, I did a discussion about modern utopian fantasies, arguing that the so-called peace, fairness, and openness in modern society is nothing but an illusion, similar to a 'phantom limb climax' (the imaginary limbs that do not exist) The pleasure of climax). For example, modern society is very concerned about women's rights, but in fact, this is just a victory for capitalism and consumerism. The bourgeoisie has explored the strong purchasing power of women in the market, so as to raise and raise, to gain more profit. Some women are also arrogant and arrogant, and they think they have control over the relationship and have the ability to control resources. Or, modern society seems to be very tolerant of homosexuality, but in fact, same-sex couples in film and television works always have good-looking looks, and female audiences will have sympathy and affection for them, and they will support homosexuality on the Internet. But will they really participate in the affirmative movement? There are very few reports on the real sufferings in society, and those real evils are always inconclusive.
Generally speaking, rebellion is often a denial of the authority systems or the values that are widely recognized by the current society, or the slander of things that are respected by the mainstream with a historical aura. I think that a dramatic rebellion is to combine two contrasting objects, such as the vulgar condom and the combination of candy, pure and beautiful candy and crystal sequins in my work. I put the candy in a slippery condom, hanging it on the wall and dropping the spotlight. This kind of placement is similar to the window design, and the merchandise is placed on the counter in turn, and the decoration is exquisite and beautiful. My choice of candy was inspired by Untitled of Félix González-Torres, who used he used the same weight of candy as his lover, expressing the pain, struggle and hope of sexual minorities and AIDS patients. In my work, candy represents a good, that is, wonderland, but this kind of beauty is sold in a vulgar and condom, which is undoubtedly ironic. If the condom refers to rights and the official, then Utopia's fantasies are simply mastered by power, put into the beautiful window to show people the goods, and it can also be purchased, as long as you have convertible capital, and you How you want to deal with it, whether to destroy or to achieve, will be up to you.

This is about rebellion. It is about breaking the dream of the ignorant and subverting the rumors of the superior. This is an era of world climax, this is an era when all the people die. This is a great era regret. People are immersed in the dreams of Utopia, as if they were all equal, peaceful, and rich. Beautiful gay couples hold expensive weddings in gorgeous churches, people burst into tears. The crops grow crazy by themselves, resources are inexhaustible, the sky in the city is spotless, every single kids go to school with smile. There’s no war, no refugees, no discrimination, no violence.
In the Chinese network, there is a vocabulary called phantom limb climax [幻肢高潮], which means that the imaginary limbs that do not exist, such as the nonexistent penis or non-sexual organs, produce a pleasure of orgasm. This website vocabulary just coincides with the essence of this era spirit —— fake wonderland. For example, people not in the LGBT circles admire beautiful and successful homosexual partners and bless their love, but sneer at the poor and ugly people in LGBT group.
This work is a installation poster, the expression and describe of the penis is too straightforward, and it is obviously incompatible with the ‘wonderland’, and its form—— erecting facing the audience makes people cannot bear to look straight at it. It is aggressiveness and irony, as if to break through, shatter and destroy something. It is ugly, but it is real. This is a kind of struggle and rebellion to destroy this ‘Fake Wonderland’ and put it into a condom, making it a erecting fake penis—— This is the illusion limb climax of this age.
There are two very small words printed on utopia, ‘era orgasm’ that is fake and ‘era regret’ that is true. Can people choose to face the truth of regret and get out of the wonderland they created for themselves? We have no idea.

Rebellion?
Fake wonderland
When taking about REBELLION, I first thought about Ai Weiwei, an artist from my country who loves to revolt Chinese government and the Communist party. Rebellious topics that related to sex and politics and death have always been a stimulant to many artists like Ai Weiwei, Sarah Lucas, Hermann Nitsch, Yoko Ono. I think rebellion can be hopeful and powerful (Yoko) but it can also be depressed, desperate and devastating (Nitsch).
What I wanna do is using a ‘dildo’ to break the current situation of a fake Utopia wonderland which is just delusion created by society.

The Hot- Kid Milk Beverage marks an era. It was the time belongs to us, to the childhood of today's grown-up children. It was the golden age that they had lost. It melts with winter snow, disappearing with clean air in city. Its red wrappers were hidden by children in the garden, and its aluminum cans were planted with daisies until they were buried by the broken tiles and dirt, along with the disrepair quadrangle.
It is a floating memory, floating in our childhood, and we were following with the waves.
It is a memory float.
I sometimes confusing if it has really gone. When people buy it at the age at 20, are they missing the sweet taste of their childhoods? In today’s market, Hot-Kid Milk Beverage can still be found, though other counters are occupied by younger drinks in fashionable packagings. But its ugly out looking has become a sign that people cannot forget.
In this artwork, I chosed to discribe using the album form because it has a feeling of story telling. Diarizing and jouranlizing were also faddish at that time, especially in school. ‘River’ looks like a scrawl of a kid, which is naivety and from clear to vague and abstract, just like the memory. And the ‘river’ refers to elapse.
‘Interlace’ is a combination of two era——Shanghai vanishing cream in 1930s and 1940s and the Hot-Kid Milk in millennium. When you fold off the paper corner, the cheongsam woman's face turns into a Hot-Kid.
‘The dance of unbreable nothingness’ is a line drawing with one color only one stroke. The last two paintings are cosplays of Pope Innocent X and Het meisje met de parel. These two oil paintings have totally different emotions. It is the misty impression and sentimental memory of past.
experiment 3
In the 1930s and 1940s, many of China's cigarette rouge brands had women in cheongsam packages painted on them. This became the characteristics of The Times, and Shanghai xueyao cream is a top. I found a cover picture for painting, and put together the picture of wang zai of my childhood brand for it, forming an interesting visual conflict.
experiment 2
I then found another representative brand—— Hot-Kid Milk beverage. This milk beverage just like The drink reminds me of my childhood and the cheap commercials that circulated on all the channels. Grew up, it transformed from ordinary beverage with a strong memory of color label, the taste of it more than ten years still does not change, my friends and I love it, love the taste of it, even if there are more and more delicious and look better milk drink, we also from time to time to buy it, because it seemed to be no alternative.
When I drew it, I also chose deeper and less saturated color to show a feeling of retro and nostalgia.
