(A mini 'sequel' to my pride month comic! Someone on the subreddit commented that they interpreted it as being about the dreaded Gender Envy™, and they're very correct. Plus, Cheri does have all their clothes custom-made and utilizes quite a bit of padding and strategic layering to manipulate their silhouette, which is something I also want to explore in diagrams sometime.)

Idk meet Skinny, my farmer Uri's cat. Sorry for the rotisserie chicken jumpscare.

Uri found him in the trash one day, just as the Cat Distribution System intended.

Skinny doesn’t like Eiland very much. Mostly because Eiland has the audacity to take his walking heater away from him sometimes.

He wears sweaters during the colder seasons but Uri can’t knit for his life so I’m still figuring out which kind soul would knit Skinny some winter clothes.

Concept study for Elvish Fashion featuring the Original™ FinBrothers and their Mini Me

Fëanor & Curufin: Splendor. They are wearing Noldor informal daywear inspired by Baroque/Rococo European Aristocracy (17th–18th century), especially the Sun King and the extravagant courts of Versailles. Opulent, luxurious robes with theatrical flair and shimmering footwear. Fëanor is wearing the dramatic gemstones that once belonged to Míriel. Fingolfin & Turgon: Discipline. They are dressed in Vanyarin court fashion inspired by late Ming Dynasty China (17th century). I tried to portray the restrained elegance of high-ranking Ming officials and princes. Layered hanfu, structured silhouette, and minimal jewelry. Refined nobility rather than ostentatious wealth. Finarfin & Finrod: Harmony. They are the most timeless here in my opinion. They are wearing Telerin outdoor fashion inspired by Ancient Mediterranean clothing (particularly Minoan and Classical Greece) mixed with Art Nouveau. Lots of drape and movement, sandals (because the Teleri love walking by the sea), gold jewelry, olive greens, laurel-style headpieces, wrapped waists. I tried to go 'less' historical noble and 'more' idealized gods.

Alouki isn't scared of insects at all, even spiders, but they still struggle with "what is an insect anyway ?" Is a crab an insect ?

I've fallen so deep into the Fields of Mistria lore rabbit hole while reworking Leony's lore that I somehow ended up writing an entire prophecy for them so I had to change a few things on this illu 🤭

It reminded me how much I love medieval fairy tales, old legends, especially french ones I grew up with and all the symbolism that comes with them. That's honestly what drew me to Leony and Caldarus ship in the first place and diving back into that inspiration has been so much fun ✨️

Anyway there may or may not be a certain Witch Queen haunting another version of this piece composition in my wip folder 👁️
