The final day is over; I can’t believe it! This is a very short vlog about today, but I will be making a vlog about my overall experience doing Spanish Beginners as a Third Term Activity within the next few days.

The final day is over; I can’t believe it! This is a very short vlog about today, but I will be making a vlog about my overall experience doing Spanish Beginners as a Third Term Activity within the next few days.
Reflection: Day 20 - House/Room
Today’s activities:
Recalling names of rooms of the house, furniture and electrical appliances
Describing and locate rooms of a house using verbs and preposition of place correctly
Completing the final Learning Portfolio Task
Saying our goodbyes
Pre-lesson thoughts:
Before today’s lesson I was feeling rather sad, as I was heading to my last ever Spanish class of the Third Term Activity and I really did not want it to end after such an amazing experience. However, I was very happy with how far I have come in the past month.
Post-lesson achievements:
Personal: Overall today, my biggest achievement was engaging fully with everyone more than I have done before. I think that everyone was sad to be leaving, which brought us all a lot closer together.
Academic: I believe that my biggest academic achievement of today was successfully completing LPT8. This was the last one of the Third Term Activity, and I am very proud to have finished it successfully.
Summary and Preparations:
Overall, today was simultaneously my most and least favourite day, because although I have come to realise how much I have enjoyed this experience, I am extremely sad that it is over. Of course, there are no preparations to be done as there are no future lessons for me, yet I do plan to continue practicing Spanish on a regular basis to improve my language levels as much as I can.
And finally, here is the audio recording from LPT8!
Here are my written answers for LPT8!
We never miss a birthday in Spanish class!
¡Cumpleaños feliz!
I honestly cannot believe that the second-to-last day (Day 19) of Spanish Beginners is over already, but I am so grateful for the experience I have had.
Reflection: Day 19 - House/Room
Today’s activities:
Learning vocabulary for birthday celebrations
Discussing different ways of describing where something it situated
Naming household objects and appliances
Pre-lesson thoughts:
This morning I felt rather enthusiastic about today’s lesson, especially since the past few days have been very enjoyable. However, I also felt sad that I was heading to class for my second to last lesson after having had such an amazing experience so far.
Post-lesson achievements:
Personal: I found that today I participated in the lesson much more than I have done over the past week, which has made me feel good as it is always great to see how much contributing to the lesson helps you and those around you.
Academic: In today’s lesson I worked extra hard on familiarising myself with the vocabulary used to express an object’s location by practicing using it in the tasks that were set. This allowed me to progress, as at first it seemed a little overwhelming, but with practice it became easier.
Summary and Preparations:
In summary, I found today’s lesson very satisfying, so I am looking forward to tomorrow’s lesson too. Furthermore, before tomorrow’s lesson I will ensure that I have completed the small homework task that has been set and revise the vocabulary learnt today for the final LPT tomorrow so that I can end this Third Term Activity with the best possible outcome.
In this vlog I not only speak about today’s lesson, but I also speak about how the Third Term Activity will help me in the future and how it can help others more too.
Reflection: Day 18 - House/Room
Today’s activities:
Revise Unit 7′s content
Complete LPT7
Learn the names of different rooms in a house
Describe rooms of the house
Pre-lesson thoughts:
This morning I was feeling a lot more positive about the day than I was yesterday, because I had spent time practicing the vocabulary for Unit 7. So, I approached today’s lesson with a positive attitude regarding the Language Portfolio Task.
Post-lesson achievements:
Personal: Personally, I feel as though today’s lesson was more focused on academic growth. That said, it does not mean that I did not experience any personal achievements today, as even engagement in the lesson and with people around me is somewhat an achievement.
Academic: Today’s lesson presented me with many academic achievements. Most of all, I once again succeeded in my Language Portfolio Task with the best outcome that I could hope for. Also, I learnt a lot of new vocabulary and was even able to figure out the meaning of some Spanish words without help from others.
Summary and Preparations:
Overall, I found today’s lesson thoroughly enjoyable thanks to the many different activities we completed to aid our language learning, which makes me excited for tomorrow. There is no homework set for tomorrow, so this evening I will make sure that my Quizlet is up-to-date with all the new vocabulary of Unit 8 that we have just begun.
What better way to learn household vocabulary than with Peppa Pig's home?
LPT7 involved 2 writing exercises, here are my answers!
Day 17 has finished and today we learnt a lot of new vocabulary, so here’s what I have to say about it!
Reflection: Day 17 - City/Town/Village
Today’s activities:
Discuss the locations and characteristics of cities in Spain and Latin America
Use the different verbs (ser/estar/tener/haber) when describing locations
Describe our own city/town/village
Pre-lesson thoughts:
The past few days have been rather busy for me, so I have not been feeling as motivated as I usually would. Despite this, I made sure that I remained as positive as possible before today’s lesson.
Post-lesson achievements:
Personal: My biggest personal achievement today was ensuring that I was fully participating in the lesson and engaging with those around me when completing tasks set by the teacher.
Academic: As we are currently learning how to describe cities/towns/villages, we are learning a lot of new vocabulary. Therefore, it has been difficult to keep up with all of these new words, yet throughout today’s lesson I made note of all new vocabulary to be referred to later on for this unit’s LPT revision.
Summary and Preparations:
In conclusion, although I feel as though today was a little overwhelming for me personally, I am still satisfied with the outcome. For tomorrow, there is a small homework task to be completed which I will do, as well as revising the vocabulary in preparation for LPT7 which will be taking place in the morning.
Reflection: Day 15 - City/Town/Village
Today’s activities:
Practice listening to and identifying numbers
Spell number correctly
Use this/that/these/those when referring to an object close or far from you
Complete Learning Portfolio Task 6
Pre-lesson thoughts:
As the overall week has been successful for me, I woke up feeling positively productive. I knew this would allow me to focus more in my lesson and finish the week with a good outcome in LPT6.
Post-lesson achievements:
Personal: Today’s LPT was a speaking exercise, which meant that we had to record a short conversation with a partner. Therefore, I feel as though the biggest achievement for me today was working well as a team to achieve the best possible outcome for the both of us.
Academic: Personally, the aspect of language learning that i find the most challenging is speaking, so the LPT today was something I wasn’t as confident with. Nonetheless, I worked hard and made sure i did my best and managed to do well and receive positive feedback from the teacher, which was very rewarding for me.
Summary and Preparations:
All in all, I would say not only has this been a good day learning Spanish, but a good week overall. Since we did not have enough time to fully start the new topic today, we have been set a small homework task that we would have otherwise done in class, so I will complete this as my preparation for the final week.
Here I talk about day 14′s tasks such as dot-to-dot and all of the other interesting things we do to learn Spanish!
Here is the speaking script and recording for LPT6! Time to move onto unit 7.
Reflection: Day 14 - Objects
Today’s activities:
Learn to count to 10,000
Express where an object, event or person is in relation to the speaker
Ask about objects in a shopping situation
Say the currency of a country
Pre-lesson thoughts:
Since yesterday turned out to be more successful than I originally expected, I felt rather hopeful for the day. Therefore I approached my lesson feeling positive and ready to learn more.
Post-lesson achievements:
Personal: In today’s lesson I believe that my biggest personal achievement was supporting those around me and helping them to understand the grammar we were learning. This was something that worked both ways, as we were able to work together to ensure we all understood everything to the best of our ability.
Academic: Personally, I feel as though my biggest academic achievement today was learning how to correctly use este/a/os/as (this/these) and ese/a/os/as (that/those) in a given context, as this was something that was slightly confusing at first. However, I persevered and practiced until I felt confident using these words.
Summary and Preparations:
In conclusion, although there were some things that required extra work for me today, I still managed to achieve a thorough understanding of what I was learning, which is something to be proud of. Furthermore, tomorrow I will be completing LPT6. This is for a small unit, yet I have still revised the content this evening to ensure the best outcome tomorrow.
