Daily #4: Speaker Box – One of the things I didn’t like about my HAL 9000 comp was the speaker. So I went back to the drawing board (or in this case After Effects) and built a new one from scratch. It’s all done with Alpha Mattes, Layer Styles, and some basic geometric shapes.

Daily #3: Hal – Had some fun recreating an icon of science fiction. Definitely a couple things that didn’t work like I’d hoped, and I’m missing some detail. But I had to call it finished. I’m sorry, Dave. Make art everyday.
