Periodic reminder that everybody who aided Trump's reelection should be miserable constantly and that no amount of pain or suffering is too much for them.

Earthset
The Artemis II crew captured this view of an Earthset on April 6, 2026, as they flew around the Moon. The image is reminiscent of the iconic Earthrise image taken by astronaut Bill Anders 58 years earlier as the Apollo 8 crew flew around the Moon. The Apollo 8 mission was the first crewed spacecraft to circumnavigate the Moon.
For more imagery from the mission, visit our Artemis II Multimedia Page.
Welcome to the Far Side of the Moon
A crescent Earth sets behind the Moon.
On April 6, 2026, the Artemis II astronauts flew around the Moon, observing the far side – which we never see on Earth thanks to tidal locking – with their own eyes and with cameras.

3, 2, 1 – liftoff!
The Artemis II Moon rocket lifted off from our Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 6:35 p.m. EDT on April 1, 2026. Our live launch day coverage continues on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tf_UjBMIzNo
Stick with us for more Artemis II content including live broadcasts for lunar flyby and splashdown, daily news conferences, and 24/7 streams providing views from the Orion spacecraft and from NASA Kennedy.

For those who came before
Turkey is so cool. shame about every aspect of its history and politics
country or bird?
country. I refer to the bird as a Türkiye
me playing expedition 33:
It's about grief. It's about letting go. It's about fighting on. It's about family. It's about the existential horror of mimes.
It's about escapism. It's about surviving despite it all. It's about the wonder of the world even in darkness. It's about mimes beating the shit out of you.
It's about love. It's about heartbreak. It's about who the fuck put all those mimes here
So not only did an "individual neutral athlete" medal but turns out ski mountaineering is also boring to watch and looks stupid as hell (why am I watching people run up stairs with their skis on their backs?). I would say I can't believe this is what they're wanting to kick out nordic combined - an event that has been in the winter Olympics since the very start, whose existence is critical for the growth of ski jumping and whose team sprint final was both dramatic and actually fun to watch - to make space for, but destroying something storied, important and actually interesting for something dumb and boring does feel incredibly of the times.
