“Oh, that makes sense. Sounds like there’s a lot built into it for it seeming like a really simple looking game.” Fangs didn’t play video games, but that didn’t keep him from being interested. And he’d learned a lot about some of them from Kevin, he probably would have liked them if they could afford it when he was younger. “Oh boy, well that’ll be a fun while. You’re going to start hearing a lot of unnecessary words from Sweet’s mouth after this. Oh, speaking of Sweets, when I’m not here it looks like I’ll be crashing over at his place, we’re even talking about getting a trailer and being roommates.” He hadn’t exactly explained what his living situation was, but Kevin hadn’t dropped him off at the same place twice whenever he’d give him rides ‘home’, so Fangs assumed it was silently understood that he didn’t have an actual home.
“Cheryl is definitely a character, but she’s not that bad.” If she wasn’t a Serpent and hadn’t helped save Toni, Fangs was sure he wouldn’t say anything nice for her. But she was family now. “Now that’s a fantasy I can get on board with.” Fangs smirked. “Don’t apologize, those kinds of jokes are right up my alley. Lucky for you, morals aside, I’m perfectly legal.” He spoke in a low tone, voice sounding a little rougher.
He found himself letting out a small laugh at the comment about their studying habits. “I don’t think I’ll ever fully take studying seriously when you’re my tutor, but you kept your promise of not letting me fail. It’s nice that we can do even the boring stuff together, even if we, well, get bored and have to make it more fun.” He quirked an eyebrow and gave a small smile. “So, small warning, that’s my baby-” In reference to his bike. “so we’ll do a little easy ride- in preferably grass so neither of you get hurt.”
“McCoy is good people, she took me on as a client while I was in jail. It’s never great to learn about a situation like this, but like you said, at least he’s actually happy in his relationship now. How’s your mom doing?” He usually didn’t talk about anyone’s family details with anyone but Sweets and even that was kept simple, only tidbits of information at a time as to not come off dramatic, but Kevin was much more open which in turn seemed to make Fangs reciprocate. “Of course I care, you don’t have the greatest track history when it comes to dating, huh?” Fangs asked, being pulled back into a kiss. “Southside could use the help.” He admitted when he had the chance. “Really? Uh, yeah-yeah that would be alright. I mean, good, that would be good-nice?” He stumbled over his words and let out a loud breath. “Sorry I uh, guess I don’t know how much he knows about me.. us. Never did the whole dinner with the ‘rents thing.”
Kevin did know that Fangs wasn’t staying in one play consistently, but had been waiting on Fangs to bring it up because he didn’t want to come off as pushy. He felt bad, and had a potential offer that would make Fangs happy. “You do know that you can stay here whenever you want for as long as you want.” His father wouldn’t mind, and at this point he was aware that Fangs was not a bad person. Kevin meant it, and he hoped Fangs realized that. It bothered him that his boyfriend didn’t have a consistent place to stay and Kevin could do something about it. “And if you don’t want to cuddle with me we can put you in a guest room where you can put your stuff. And I mean this Fangs...you always have a place here.” In a brighter outlook, he and Sweet Pea were looking at moving in with one another, he knew that would be great for the both of them. “Just so you know, I can help you all turn this place into the best man-cave.”
“She used to be on my avoid radar but with everything that’s happened she’s become a true friend.” Kevin and Cheryl bonded when his cruising through the woods and again when Carrie the musical was happening. He detected Fangs’ tone and found himself already loving this fantasy on top of his talks of being legal. He returned the tone as he fiddled with the bottom half of Fangs’ shirt and rubbing his hand on bottom half of Fangs’ toned body. “You really have been the hottest guy I’ve been with, babe.” Kevin kissed at Fangs’ neck for a few seconds before backing away, ending it with a kiss on his cheek. “I’m glad you love my fantasies.”
“Don’t give me all the credit. You’re smarter than what you give yourself credit for. You have school smarts and street smarts which is a very compatible and ideal way of thinking.” Kevin was in awe that their entire relationship started to blossom because Kevin agreed to tutor Fangs and couldn’t contain just how much he wanted to hook up with him. “Also, we need to work on math today. If we get through the next chapter without getting naked, I’ll make it very much worth your while.” He winked. “Fine by me. I road with Joaquin a couple times but nothing that was a far distance. I just love the part where I can put on a helmet and hold onto another man.” It was close with wrestling, minus all the human movement. “So am I your baby too?”
“My mom? She’s hanging on. Apparently there’s a man that she’s stationed with that she has had feelings for but knew she had my father..so I think that might happen?” Kevin’s parents were two people he thought he knew but they surprised him, he figured that being surprising was a Keller family trait. “But my mom is strong, even stronger than my dad so I know they’ll make it. It’s just..not the best feeling that I’m probably the reason why they wanted to make something work that wasn’t going to work.” He internalized everything, a trait that has lasted from the time when he was a chubby gay nerd to the hot and tall nerd he was now. Fangs was one of few people that knew that he still had his insecurities. “Honestly, no. But you have been the best and that’s all that matters to me.” Kevin didn’t know how to take Fangs’ reaction. “Hey, you really don’t need to feel pressured if you don’t want to. He just suggested it. My dad doesn’t care if you’re a serpent and he knows that you’re innocent. Attorney McCoy was filling him in on the details regarding your arrest and from the start he knew something was fishy.” Kevin rubbed at Fangs’ knee. “Fangs, really, don’t feel like you have to if you aren’t ready.”
