MOTEL 666 - 10 1/2″ x 10 1/2″ Yep … traditional medium!!!! A new Watercolor painting/illustration that I finished on February 4th, 2020. I’m not religious … but, I’ve often thought that Jesus and Satan cannot exist without the other.  They both exist to balance each other.  Or, negate each other. Or, to give the option of “goodness” or “evil”. So, I thought this was a funny idea.  Jesus and Satan in bed … post-coital.  Jesus, Satan, Gay Sex, Semen, Chocolate Dipped Strawberry, Used Condoms, Cigarettes, Hand Spikes, and The Bible. All wrapped up in one image.

The background design that I most loved working on this season.  It was both a headache and a joy to create this background of a city street in Vietnam.  Here I am posting the rough design by the amazing Pete Merrymen … followed by my fully developed background, and the post production version populated with characters.

THE FIRST 8 EPISODES FROM THE FINAL SEASON OF BOJACK HORSEMAN (Season 6) HAVE DROPPED! Here is one of my Background Designs (Layout and Color) from Episode 606. And, finally . . . this may be the most difficult BG that I’ve worked on to date during my many seasons working on Bojack Horseman.  The factory where Todd and Jorge try to retrieve a boxed kidney for his mom.  This had to be multi-layered for animating the machine at the top and for the box to travel along the conveyor belts.  Those conveyors and ceiling baskets and machine had to be key frame animated by myself.  Difficult, but I love this BG!
