‘Productive Millennial’ illustration for Globe and Mail
“When the Circus Came to Charlottetown”. An illustration for the Walrus, plus some bonus roughs from the project. Looking back, I wish I had kept some of the bright colors from the roughs in the final.

Worked on this!
New work for the Walrus!
Another sketchbook week comes to a close.
Maybe this isn't very interesting, but here are some of the most recent ugly sketchbook covers. I've been doodling in these off and on for over two years now. They started off as repositories for bad drawings, but now it feels like they've taken over as the de facto sketchbook. The covers aren't particularly well drawn or interesting, but for me they represent a safe space where experimentation (and ugliness) is encouraged.
Sketchbook! More like retch-book! Zinger!
Abra-zaz!!
New sketchbook. News Catch Buck.
Mo' lettering, mo' problems.
Been workin' on my typographic game.
Sketchbook week is back! Now sketchier and weaker then ever!
Illustrations in todays Wall Street Journal! Read the article here.
For all the mommas out there (but mostly my own)
With such a busy imagination that comes pouring out onto the page, it's no wonder that Kelsey Heinrichs has had to find several different ways to keep track on his ideas. He tells us about the various sketchbooks he keeps and producing his work.
Philip Dennis at Ape on the Moon did a super nice feature of my work. They've featured a lot of really talented people, so check them out and find some amazing art.
A drawing of me being a dork.
