An update on me: I'm a youth worker, I'm running or swimming or cycling more or less every day and I am in love, living with and about to get a puppy with a human person who thinks I am amazing. It's weird but well overdue to be this happy. I hope you are all as well as you can possibly be too!!

I haven’t been here since the news broke but one of the earliest music memories I have is of my dad dramatically performing"five years" whole driving in our old truck

Then, probably five years ago, when I was pretty unwell and seriously struggling and I was driving one day and “rock and roll suicide” came on shuffle and about half way through the song I had to pull over because I was crying too hard to see the road any more and I started to heal after that

And when my English visa was just about to expire and my English friends and I had a farewell barbecue and danced in the rain to “starman” and everything seemed pretty good even though I knew that pretty soon I would have to leave the only place that had ever really felt like home to me up to that point

And I feel like this is a pretty common sentiment but Bowie has been a constant presence in my life and he might be the reason I’m still around and it’s pretty difficult to accept that he’s no longer physically here
