kencov:
âI feel like everyone who works around here come here for their breaks,â She laughed, pulling a plastic menu from the side. âAnd for the record, you should definitely order dessertââ Kendall intervened, turning the menu around as she pointed at the chocolate cake. âThat looks amazing.â
âI work in a highrise on the Upper East Side, I came back to Westbrook just for this, what does that say about me?â Kendra said with a chuckle. She couldâve just as easily found a diner spot in the city, but it just wansât the same. âOh god, I love their chocolate lava cake, but Iâm feeling cheesecake. Or sorbet. Maybe I should get both? Or nah, taste clash.â
lilysilvax:
âThat actually looks to be really good.â The brunette said as she eyed the plate of food and then peered over the brunetteâs head to get a look at the menu. âI think Iâm going to have to try all of that. Iâve never been here before but Iâve heard a lot of great things. Do you come here often?â Lilith asked, choosing to make some small talk while she had the other here.
"Whenever I can. This is usually too far from work and Iâm too tired when I get back, but I come at least once a weekend or every other weekend. Iâve tried everything on the menu at least twice so I can be your unofficial guide.â
adrianohara:
Here Adrian thought he was Muncherâs biggest fan, but when chestnut hues lifted to meet his genteel gaze, alight with a severe adoration he hadnât been prepared for, it was clear then that he took home a mere second place, his new companion standing in first. âOne day, Guy Fieri is going to roll through town in his red camaro, and heâs going to discover Munchers, and our little heaven on earth will blow up to the masses. I say we enjoy it while it lasts.â When each corner of the the sugar packet he was toying with was frayed to his liking, Adrian placed it back onto the table and folded his arms across the cool surface, his half smile stretching into a broad, dimpled, lopsided grin of elation. For a man with numerous afflictions harrowing him, talking about Quebecois-Canadian delicacies was apparently one of the few things that mattered in that moment, and for a breathy break in a life fast-paced and unforgiving, he couldnât be content. âAlright, do me a favour, just picture this. Those friesâ perfectly crispy, piping hot, you know how great they areâŠ.â- Except, instead of chili, theyâre blanketed with melting cheese curds, and instead of cheese sauce, theyâre smothered in gravy. It might sound a little gross, but manâ- its life changing. Scouts honour.â
"Nooooo. That cannot happen. We cannot let it happen,â Kendra said with a grave drop in her voice and a solemn furrow to her brow, all in jest. âIâm not losing this place to him, Gordon Ramsay, or anyone else who wants to âdiscoverâ the next great American eatery. Anthony Bourdain can fight me for these fries.â She stabbed a few onto her fork, and really, truly contemplated them. The beautifully proportionate cheesy goodness that was dripping off of them, it was almost like art. Kendra took a bite, silently nodding to the guyâs proposal to imagine a different kind of dish. âThat sounds delish as fuck, and I donât think Iâve ever even had cheese curds. But cheese is the keyword there, so Iâm already sold. And this is off menu, you say? I feel like itâs my lucky day.â
harleymarshxll:
âAre you sure?â Harley said as she eyed the brunette who seemed to be rushing to finish her food. âI donât want to kick you out, after all weâre the ones taking your table.â The brunette said as she picked Abel up and placed it beside her. âBut youâre free to stay as long as youâd like, thereâs enough place for all of us.â
"Positive. I have to get back to work anyways, or my bossâll have my head,â she nodded, taking another forkful. âLike you ever just have those days? Thatâs me at work every day.â
casemitchell:
âUm⊠you know Kevin, right?â he began, and despite his firm decision not to sit with her, he slid onto the seat opposite her, anyway, leaning forward against the table. âWell, itâs gonna be his birthday soon, and I havenât gotten him anything yet.â There was already a question posed in the statement, though he felt to clarify it further. âI need you to tell me what to get him.â
"Yeah,â Kendra said, listening in to his question, query, whatever it was. âOh. Well, thatâs a huge responsibility to just lay it all out on me, Case,â she laughed lightheartedly. âHmm...let me think...how about we start with stuff he likes? Or maybe where he likes to go? If he likes games and stuff, you guys can book yourselves one of those escape room places. Or an arcade. Or a Sex and the City tour of New York, I heard that oneâs supposed to be fun. I dunno. Thereâs tons of options.â
madison-bridges:
âItâs okay.â Madison assured, although she didnât even believe the words herself. As the girl stood up and moved the vacant chair, Madison smiled softly and moved into it as close as she could. These tables really werenât designed for her chair, so even still, she stuck out a significant amount from the space she shouldâve been in. With how busy it was, it kind of made Madison anxious and uncomfortable, but here she was, with her wheels locked in their position and her head hung for a moment. As the woman spoke, Madison looked up from her lap and hummed in response, asking for the woman to repeat herself, but after a moment she shook her head. âNever mind. I heard you. Just took a sec to process.â She explained. âThatâs⊠A pretty vague question, Kendra. Wanna like⊠Be a bit more specific or is that all I get to go off of? Because I guarantee my answer wonât be in the slightest interesting if weâre that broad.â
"Okay, youâre right, itâs a crappy question, too big,â she said with a shake of her head, reminding herself she wasnât in a meeting with a prospective model or client since thatâs where her head was wrapped around most of these days. âLetâs do small questions. Whatâre you watching these days? What are you binging? I just started this hilarious new showââ she was interrupted by the waitress bringing menus, and thanked her.Â
leodarby:
âGuess I know what you meanâŠâ Leo answered with a slight nod of his head, a smile creeping its way across his features. âWhat can I say? Iâm not really into sports. Iâm not into sports at all.â He laughed lightly. âAnything but, really.â
âOh, itâs not my thing either, but I keep up with the news so when stuff makes headlines,â she shrugged, then raised a brow, wondering what he meant. âAnything but? So you disagree on players sitting out the national anthem, even for good reasons?â
brookeadams:
âI donât know, I think everyone just decided to come outside todayââ Brooke laughed as she slid into the booth. âItâs nice weather out, I guess? But no better than usual, I honestly couldnâtât tell you.â Besides, having lived there her entire life, sheâd know about town events. âThe coffeeâs not bad either but I honestly might order something because that looks amazing.â
âI mean, itâs gonna get pretty cold up in here pretty soon so it would make sense theyâre making the best of it,â Kendra said with a shrug, that being her best guess too. âOh please do. I think the chefâs on a good run today because seriously they taste uh-mazing. Maybe Iâll come back after work for a second bowl, even.â
philip-vogel:
âNutritionist or personal trainer?â The words were repeated with a bit of a raised brow line, one cocking a bit more at the arch than the other. âHuhââ There was a slight purse to his lips as Philip adjusted his posture. âHonestlyâ flattered, but no, not a nutritionist or personal trainer.â Arms lifted upwards, they found a resting place upon the table in front of him, fingers linking up together. âI just think that those chili cheese are gross as hell, so.â
âIt just popped into my head,â Kendra said with an innocent shrug. âI just deal with those types at work all the time. Theyâre fun, but a little...militant.â
âWell thatâs a harsh judgement! But alright. Theyâre not everyoneâs type for sure. Whatâs your poison here, then? You a mac and cheese kinda guy?â For some reason she found talking tot he man easy, straightforward.
novayoung:
Nova laughed lightly when she realised who the owner of the keys were, her shoulders falling comfortably after she placed the keys safely back in Kendraâs hand. âIâm glad I could do that. Someone has to, right?â She jested, her smile growing subtly with the fortunate turn of events and the avoided âshit-tasticâ day.
"Yeah, Iâm running late for work as usual. Wouldâve been great when I got back home tonight to find I didnât have my keys,â but she sighed in relief. âSo whatâre you up to? Early jog to get a head start on the day? I so admire your stamina. Actually, jealous might be the right word.â
isabellalvna:
âI know, itâs almost as good as tinder.â She said with a laugh as she opened her bowl to reveal a pretty bland salad. âSo, we should probably get to know one another. Iâm Isabella.â
She laughed at the girlâs joke, it was a good one. âNow itâs like speed dating,â Kendra chuckled. âIsabella. Thatâs such a nice name. Iâm Kendra. I know, typical trailer trash name. And probably not far off the mark, too.â
masonjcnes:
Eyes followed her own, gazing at the blue light emitting from the deviceââ her device, he presumed, only to look away with the slightest inclination that heâd be pinned as intrusive. It had happened before; heâd been caught looking over someoneâs shoulder aimlessly, not for information but just to redeem a sense of curiosity. Naturally, it occurred vice versa, though he felt, and perhaps ignorantly so, like one of the few people nowadays that didnât actually have anything worth hiding. The maleâs green hues scanned the open window into the kitchen, steaming plates in a row, before turning his attention to the laminated menu below him. A smile rose on his lips at her confession and a brow in amused suspicion, âSo uhââ He looked up then, leaning back in his booth, â⊠You change your mind about leavinâ soon I guess?â He inquired playfully, recalling her prior statement, âI mean, I knew the fries were good but I didnât know they were good enough to cancel plans for.â
"Iâm waiting on a call from my boss. I thought sheâd be done by now, but the radio silence means I might just have another hour to myself. Living on borrowed time, so to speak.â She flashed him a smile, then returned to her fries, picking at them in a much less rushed manner than before. It was good to just eat and take your time with it, something Kendra rarely got a chance to do on even the good days. âBut if you want the final verdict, yes, theyâre definitely good enough to be cancelling plans on.â

KENDRA HARRIS is 23 years old and lives in WESTBROOK. She is a FEMALE and works as a PERSONAL ASSISTANT. She has been in Lanford for 3 YEAR and is portrayed by ADELAIDE KANE.
Being an ambitious kid from as early as she or anyone could remember, Kendra Harris always dreamed sheâd make something of herself. What that something would be, she had no clue, but she knew she wanted it to bring her in tons of money and a big, big house her and her dad and their dog could live in. The mobile home they currently lived in, in Egg Harbor City, New Jersey, simply wasnât the most ideal life. She knew that from the very start, when some of the more well to-do girls in her school would look down on her clothes or the beat up pickup that her dad drove. It led to a couple of fist-fights, lots of mornings in detention, but who cared? Kendra wasnât going to let anyone talk bad about her and get away with it.
Life as a teenager in Egg Harbor City âpopulation: 4,000 â was stifling to say the least. Without a car of her own, Kendra relied on friends to pick her up and take her places. She started doing small jobs around her neighborhood from the age of ten. By the time she was seventeen, Kendra had already worked at her townâs local diner, McDonaldâs, dollar general, liquor store, and even the town morgue. She saved up daily, bit by bit, for her move to New York, where she could kickstart her âreal lifeâ. Every day brought her closer to that goal.
Six months until graduation, and all that money went down the drain. Her father had an accident at the construction site where he worked, and was temporarily out of his job, had to stay home to recover. Slowly Kendra watched her money drain from her savings account, paying her dadâs hospital bills, keeping the house lights on, buying food. She didnât begrudge having to do any of this, but it left a bitter taste in her mouth, and more than a few nights spent crying now that she knew her New York dream most certainly wasnât going to happen. Â
Until it did. The night of her graduation, her father and friends brought her out to the parking lot: a 2010 Toyota Corolla with a bow sat there, alongside a check, money they had all saved up and pooled together. If there was anyone who deserved to make it big and make something of themselves, they said, it was Kendra. Overwhelmed and in tears, she felt like her life changed overnight, and it reminded her that although home could be a complicated, boring, cramped place, it was still home, and there was no other place like it.
ââ I used to think about one day, just not telling anyone, and going off to some random place. And Iâd just⊠disappear. And theyâd never see me again. Did you ever think about stuff like that?⊠ââ
After a few years of precarious, sink or swim tactics trying to make her way in the city, Kendra now finds herself working as a personal assistant for one of the top modelling agencies in the city. Itâs a relentless, difficult and fast job, but one that pays well and lets her have the apartment of her dreams sheâd always wanted as a kid. She tries to offer her dad to come out to Lanford and live with her, but heâs turned down the offer every time.
⏄ â Her current boss, Barbara Silver, is slowly driving her insane. Hyper demanding, she calls Kendra on her days off, at inopportune times, and with no boundaries. Thus, Kendra is rarely seen without her iPhone in hand. Â
⏊ âShe keeps a mini jar of Nutella in her carâs glovebox, as smelling it helps her calm down/fight off panic attacks.
⏄ â Sheâd love to have a pet, but her busy schedule leaves her unable to devote time to one (or so she thinks). So, you can often see her strolling slowly and wistfully by pet shops and adoption centers, frequently stopping inside to take a little look.

sarah-bluth:
âWhat?â Sarah widened her eyes. Sheâs always thought those kind of bosses belonged to fiction, but apparently they were real. âAre you even happy there? I canât work with someone like that, like nope. Never.â
"Depends on the day of the week. Any day ending with A-Y-, Iâm miserable,â she said as a lame joke. âIn all seriousness, itâs not that bad though. Itâs given me a hell of a lot of experience, the pay isnât bad, and some days itâs even fun. I just have to stay on her good side, and itâs all good.â Though that was easier said than done, Kendra a lot of the times being an âincompetent baboonâ, as Barbara liked to call her.
sodaniels:
âPretty much. I mean, my friend ordered it under his name so might as well give them just that. I came straight from work, how can you be judging me right now?â She gave the other a look, before cracking and sharing a smile. âTwo gallons? I expected three at least.â Reaching for spare fork, the brunette let out a small laugh. âYour love of carbs might as well be the purest type of love Iâve witnessed so far. Itâs really magical, I have no words.â
âJust wondering! If a friend sent me on a mission Iâd ask âem what it was,â she shrugged., her curiosity for things always on high alert. âOkay, okay, two was underestimating myself severely. Three or four at a minimum. True, itâs a wondrous thing, they never leave me, theyâre always there for me like no one has been, I owe my life to them. Damn, carbs and I should get married, who knew?âÂ
